Impressive compressed images

For example jpeg's without quality loss with half the filesize or extremely small pngs
what you got Sup Forums?

Define "small."

Flif can't be posted.

small as in small filesize.

Too bad Sup Forums is only interested in appeasing iPhone users.

That's not even the same image you retard

everyone uses iPhones in Japan

2 wasn't enough

This was true maybe 5 years ago when the iPhone was far and a way the better phone experience especially over , but not anymore. Sony, but most of the other Japanese phone manufacturers, have stepped their game up and marketing in Japan.

Apple is still the most popular maker but they were at or right below 50% market share 2 years ago when I worked at a Tokyo startup and had to research which phones we should request from the various cell companies to test on. I was just there this fall and saw even fewer iPhones anecdotally.

Japanese buy Japanese unless the foreign alternative is far and away better. Once the Japanese equivalent becomes as good people revert back to Japanese products. A foreign product that is only slightly better or equal to a Japanese product has zero fucking chance in the market there.

hmmmmm

sounds expensive but smart

I almost got an iPhone a week ago but thankfully I heard about the calculator bug thing and terrible battery life here and got an S7 active instead. Bullet fucking dodged. I'll take touchjizz over failure to do basic elementary school mathematics any day.

>tfw you can actually see the difference

Amoled/oled screen?

I had no idea what colors were supposed to look like until I got my sammy wammy.

11" LCD. :^)

61 and 56 have better antialiasing

Also slightly deeper palettes, especially noticeable on the body.

Reminder that webp is old and useless. FLIF is the future.

are PNGs tiled?

WTF

>83kb

Optimized your png by 59 bytes (4.49% decrease).

Optimized your png by 3722 bytes (0.33% decrease).

Optimized your png by 789 bytes (28.14% decrease).

Optimized your png by 229600 bytes (10.68% decrease).

The real problem is that webp uses too much cpu time to decode a single image. Phone users would be fucked if every image was encoded like that.

can you optimize a picture with a lot of noise?

>Shiggy in 50B
>Single white pixel in 35B
I'd rather an extra 15 bytes and get a shiggy than a white dot

>Doesn't hit plus the second time
>1+23=24
You can even see it type 23

why is 1 pixel not 1 byte?

because we can do better than that

...

>350% upsized from raw grey-scale bitmap format
Not impressed.

File header and metadata.

You beat a shiggy by 15 bytes with a single blank picture, then this nigger beats YOU by five bytes but with one hundred million times as many pixels
See , each pixel is 0.0000024 bits.
Also, 1 byte could hold one color channel, so pixel should be three bytes if RGB

Same thing. The "+" key doesn't light up again, meaning it's probably not usable till its animation finishes.
The calculator receives 1+23=

A gif still needs at the very least to store enough information to say "Hi I'm a gif with these dimensions and this palette."
Plus a byte for a semicolon because that's just how the gif specification signals the end of the image.

>The "+" key doesn't light up again, meaning it's probably not usable till its animation finishes.
That's exactly what it does, you have to wait for the slow-ass animation to finish otherwise it will just append whatever key you press to the current number.
t. soyPhone 8 apologist

yes, you can definitely notice the palette shift. 20KB looks whiter and circle looks redder.

I'm sure there'll be arguments that for a tiny logo, no one cares much, but there's probably cases where accurate color reproduction matters.

>570x250

fuck, yuo new kids, whn whole game was 300kb on amiga and you took pic it was 2-3 bytes.
