Why aren't you using visual studio code?

Why aren't you using visual studio code?

It just works.

I am a programmer, not a coder.

I don't like browser apps.

because emacs

I tried it, it was okay, but neovim is better suited to my needs.

I like using it with my C# Unity projects though.

I am using it, its great

i use visual studio because i have a free license from my uni.

>Why aren't you using visual studio code?
I can afford $80 for real code editor.

no it's not. it's laggy piece of shit.

But I am! I've been using it for the past couple of months, it's been great.

If I want an editor I use vim. If I want an ide I use visual studio. When or why would I use vs code?

>not just donating $80 to the kate project.

jokes on u cuz i do :^)

But I am.

OP BTFO!

Makes it difficult to collaborate with others unless I force them to use some shitty ide
It abstracts away things that you should understand and be able to do without and IDE
If you understood those things, programming becomes a lot easier
Nonmodal editing is genuinely stupid
If you're in a google interview and you pull up visual studio, you'll probably lose the job.

Notepad++ work just fine thanks.

well no one sane wants to work for google, so what's your point?

Botnet

Having "modes" in a text editor is archaic and idiotic. Go back to editing your vimrc, you mongoloid

Give those trips back, you don't deserve them.

I totally love the great argument you presented to support your extraordinaire claim that "having modes in a text editor is idiotic". Well discussed, my friend.

>I can afford $80 for real code editor.
there are always working keys on pastebin user, you just have to search for them

Electron-chrome-google-github-microsoft.
Just from the top of my head. One of those words should be enough for you to not use it.

To be fair, it's much faster than your average Electron program. It's still a memory hog, though

VScode is comfy

Its one of the few genuinely good products to come out of MS in recent years

your mom just works on my dick
