Free one are honypots

Spin up AWS instance (or some other VPS) with openvpn yourself. Symlink logs to /dev/null yourself.

>implying amazon don’t log

>considering AWS
my sides.

Just go with a generic OpenVPN client and try the servers at the University of Tsukuba.

and whats wrong with aws? they have no access to your instance so if you just need vpn for general security and IP changing, then its fine. if you are looking for 100% ultra security then you go find a good one.

Just get a raspberry PI and find an establishment with a decent internet connection, then hide the pi somewhere and leave it turned on running your VPN. This is the only way to make sure people wont be spying on you. Oh also make sure that all connections are encrypted and that the establishment owner is as technologically inept as possible.

man openvpn

ExrpessVPN is a good basic VPN. It depends on what you need it for because there are more secure VPNs.

I need one where the irc chat mods don't know I'm using one.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

desu this is what I do when I need security.

the reason an AWS is not good is because the traffic can be correlated to a specific server and nothing is hidden. Most vpn providers route many users to an individual server to create more noise. an AWS is only good for getting past something like a school's or work's network to view interracial midget cuckold sissy porn.

hows IVPN? looks good from what i'm reading.

I use mullvad. Its good.

I host my own. But then again, it's only my mobile data that I care about since even data through a VPN doesn't stop my ISP from seeing what I'm doing.

>even data through a VPN doesn't stop my ISP from seeing what I'm doing
Is this true? Why?

Mullvad

Wait what? Isn't the point of vpn to encrypt before ISP's modem so they're not able to see it? This sounds like bs.

Hosting your own VPN allows you to connect to your home internet while away from home, it doesn't do anything at all for privacy or accessing georestricted content. Why would you even say this>

Traffic needs to be asymmetrical encrypted with a public private key pair. AES 128/192/256 is the common standard.

nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/FIPS/NIST.FIPS.197.pdf

That user is just routing his traffic through another node. Useless for privacy.

All VPNs are not created equal. What you are looking for is a bidirectionally encrypted 0 knowledge VPN. That way your ISP anyone attempting a MITM attack cannot see what you are doing. only the amount of data you are passing.

this IS Sup Forums
so lmsptfy.com please

Install TunnelBear, it's the fastest and most reliable VPN on the market

Just use Opera browser with integrated VPN

Hola is pretty good. i suggest you use that OP

how are you posting with airvpn connected

Could I host a VPN on an android device? I've thought a few times about leaving a cheap prepaid phone plugged in somewhere around town to perform various questionably legal tasks.

it's no secret that you need a pass to avoid the range ban, hence why if you ever find a nice vpn that works on channel four, you never, ever tell anyone. ever.

I'm convinced that virtually no consumer VPN customers even understand what a VPN is, much less why they would want one.

Spin up an SSH with triple blowfish to the IP/Machine you want, then route all traffic through that port. OpenVPN is a mess.

> Hosting your own VPN allows you to connect to your home internet while away from home, it doesn't do anything at all for privacy or accessing georestricted content. Why would you even say this>
It absolutely does. It means that my data is going through an encrypted connection to my home network. If I'm out in the world, using mobile data or free WiFi, anyone intercepting my traffic will get nothing but encrypted data. With all the exploits popping up that target mobile devices, I'm far more concerned about a total stranger having access to my data than I am with Verizon knowing which sites I'm making a secure connection to.

>OpenVPN is a mess.
Expand on this please, Mr. Triple Blowfish.

Any suggestions to keep it from being traced back to you/found?
