I'm running out of space, Sup Forums. I know newegg is having a sale on HDD's, but what's a good HDD?

Is fire cuda from seagate even good?

bump

How about you just erase what you don't need anymore?

>bumping your own thread after 7 minutes
Fuck off

I have a full tower with a lot of slots for SSD's and HDD's.
Shut it. My thread just gets buried by other Sup Forums threads.

A stupid question like this would be perfect for /sqt/. No need to kill a thread just to ask Sup Forums what HDD to get. Since the thread's already here though, I suggest the 3TB Seagate ST3000DM001

>perfect for /sqt/
Ok. You got me there. You're right.
>3TB Seagate ST3000DM001
Appreciate it the feedback though.

>what's a good HDD?

an SSD

Fuck off

truth hurts user. I know.

What truth?

TB Seagate ST3000DM001
NO, He is fucking with you user, never buy 3tb Seagate, look at statistics.

>but what's a good HDD?
one that doesn't fail

The *TWO* Gigabyte (2gb) Seagates are great; if you want a good 3gb drive, buy a refurbished HGST (Hitachi) Ultrastar -- the kind for servers....

>mfw bought two
>mfw together they had about a dozen power cycles and practically zero writes
>paid $60 for each one; new they run $240

Just read the reviews... so many reviews....

>Seagate
Do I need to answer?

>tfw my 7 year old seagate still just werks

It's almost as if things change as time goes on! Also
>muh anecdotal evidence

I'm not saying seagate is good because mine works, I just find it funny when everyone shits on seagate but it werks for you, makes you think whether you were real lucky

The reason everyone shits on Seagate happened after your drive was produced.

> I know newegg is having a sale on HDD's
Not really a sale. Slightly higher price than on CU.

> TWO* Gigabyte (2gb) Seagates are great
Not exactly Seagate at that time, but yeah, Quantum Bigfoot was the bomb.
