Only weebs

Japanese has the shitty scribbles.

Japanese is more curvy desu.

Japanese in the left, Chinese in the right.

yes. Japanese has some simpler letters which don't match the rest and look horrible.

Left is Jap, right is Chinese? Spoken yeah, I can. They sound very different from each other.

Chinese looks more square.

island monkeys have the silly e

Yeah

Japanese
>Japanese symbols have more curves and looks more simple
>Borrows Chinese symbols

Chinese
>Blocky and straight
>Complex-looking

It's not that hard, really. Also they sound very, very different and look different when romanized.

I cannot.

Weebs on Sup Forums can though.

I can only tell the difference when I see the Japanese characters. Can't tell when it's purely kanji, if there even are differences in that case.

Do you mean simplified or traditional?

機動車< is this Japanese or Chinese??

I bet Japanese script look messy because it's basically consisted with 3 different types of characters, which are curvy or angular or something.
For example Arabian or Korean looks more consistent

yeah I know hiragana so it's pretty obvious
always seemed pretty easy to tell differences between these two and korean t b h

Lin, I don't think you guys have that word though that word sound like 1960s-1970s in Japanese.

uh yea, read the thread?

we do. it's translated as Motor Vehicle. Thing is, this word exist both language. So is words like
銀行
投資
電話
鐵道
名古屋
東京
先生
法律
etc.....
No point going on, there are tonnes of others. And fun fact some Kanji words aren't even Chinese words in the first place. They were Japanese words, and then reintroduced back to Chinese.

Uh, yeah, the kana in Japanese stick out.

>kana
sir, that's Hiragana.

>雲を掴むような話
この慣用句は聞いたことがなかった。
勉強になった、ありがとう。

arr rook same

実際、日常ではそんな慣用句使わないけどね

少し詩的な語彙だが、それでも知るといいね

left: japan
right: china

japanese is simplier

Japanese use chinese alphabet, but every symbol makes a sound instead of being a word itself, and they also have more diverse symbols, so the Japanese is on the left, Chinese on the right.

The characters look different. I dont know exactly how I'd describe it but if someone put chinese, japanese and korean in front of me I could discern which one is which

>but every symbol makes a sound instead of being a word itself, and they also have more diverse symbols
I think you misunderstood a little bit, user

Japanese alphabets are just like English one(あ=a, い=i, etc...)
Chinese(Japanese) kanjis are rather words than alphabets, (頭=head, 雲=cloud, etc...)

I can

Chink ching chong chang chang
Jap desu masu desu masu

Eating dog ni da

Can someone translate this I dont speak korean desu

fuck off proxy

Japanese is more squiggly than Chinese

>Chinese Language
>Language

It sounds like crying beast
Nah.. crying beast sound > chinese sound

I'm a proud southerner who hates northern chinese (mandarin) as much as you do. It's going to take more than that to trigger me

I've been to Hong Kong and everybody still talks like they're screaming on the subway

mandarin is even worse though, and one needs to be loud when you're packed in with other people simultaneously having discussions of their own

Does it make you butthurt that everyone who learns chinese learns mandarin and nobody cares about cantonese unless their parents speak it

I think Mandarin sounds nice, it's almost like French.

Cantonese sounds like 'ahhhh eehhh iieiaoaio'.
Mandarin sounds like 'errr auaou errr errr'.

Shame really, I'd like to learn one of these language but I'm really put off by how it sounds. Although, I did find that Cantonese is quite nice on the ears when spoken calmly, quietly and 'normally' not yelling like you usually do.

>マンコマンコ丸んで
Please explain

nah, we still have millions of speakers and one day we'll be free of northern dominance

only the refined upper-middle class speak that kind of mandarin

The first one is tolerable.

The whole Guangdong speaks Cantonese, right?

I guess it's nice, you can understand the others but they can't understand you.

But most Chinese in America speak Cantonese

Mostly, some young people only speak mandarin, and northerner immigrants usually don't manage to pick it up very well

You really look like a retarded person by yelling those random words. I've encountered those person in the street a few times.

But most in North America speak Taishanese although Cantonese is second most spoken in America

first one is pretty kawaii ill behonest

Have you ever met a fluent foreigner?

I myself might go to Taiwan for work, so Mandarin would be more useful.

A few, they're usually longtime residents or were born here though.

>born here
>still a foreigner
WTF I love China now

Wow good music
Thanks :^)

Japanese has kana mixed in most of the time so it's pretty easy to tell them apart.

fuck off we're full

Can you explain what マンコマンコ丸んで means though?

Manko (マンコ) is puss, don't know about the rest.

Sorry i dont know nips

That was the joke, m9.
The lyrics mean some actual stuff in Korean, but in Japanese it sounds like they're saying their pussies are circular.
I wondered what the actual meaning in Korean is.

I knew the difference between all Asian languages before I was a weeb, they're really easy to tell apart.

yeah, but there are a lot of Chinese characters mixed in so sometimes it's easy to tell atleast the general subject of a sentence from chinese perspective.

Unless you only know how to read simplified
hahahahahaha wew

This.

what is benis in jabanese? :DD

Strangely enough, some kanji resemble simplified characters more than traditional characters even though simplified was a more recent invention

l-lewd

If a chinese actually talks this out loud, will other chinese understand the meaning?

japanese has hiragana and katakana, chinese is just plain kanji gibberish. i wouldnt be able to differentiate texts only in kanji from jap to chink, tho

Cantonese is shit.

it's pretty easy to tell the difference desu, at least in writing.

japanese has less kanji, and a syllabary.
chinese is only hanzi.

spoken is easy too, because they're in entirely different language families.

Which is one of the two kana systems: Hirigana and Katakana

That's Japanese on the left, right? Chinese has more lines basically
