This is what mobile internet is capable in Australia

>this is what mobile internet is capable in Australia
>wired connections are a fucking joke compared to this

Anyone know whether there are plans to just go full wireless at homes? I’d rather use this shit than our garbage NBN.

now that you can get 100gb plans on telstra it's pretty compelling, although they are almost $200 a month.

consider that if you have shit internet your neighbours do too and will probably also be going to 4g. wireless contention ratios are much worse than landline so it will fall over fast.

There is a lot of competition between phone plans. That's why it's good.
Get a 4g dongle.

Yes, you're looking at the future of internet

28ms ping kek

>no unlimited data plans
just install nbn goyim :^)

shouldn't you aussie be sucking a kangaroo off or something?

This is what I'm getting in my bed with a mediatek chinkphone.

I've gone over 100mbps though in some areas.
NBN is a fucking joke, especially now that they've dropped it down to 12mbps.

I have a 4g modem at home and I get roughly 7mb down 1mb up.

You laugh, but that’s about what I get with my wired connection right now.

Having been on a connection similar to yours in Finland on 4G for a few years, paying 19,90€/month I have to say it's pretty nice. Add to that that I can always unplug the modem (which has a built in battery) and get around 6-8 hours of internet anywhere in the nordic countries included in the monthly fee. Data plan is also unlimited, so there's that.

Love it.

>be Canadian
>Mad at Canadian 50Mbit
>Go down under for a year on a Working Holiday Visa
>Exposed to all the glory that is NBN
>4 different houses in a year, none can stream 2k YouTube without long load times
>1080p a challenge
>Vimeo is out
>Fucked when 4 people are using WiFi at the same time
>New found respect for Canadian internet
>Fuck it, go surfing or longboarding

How the fuck did you guys let this happen.

>NBN is a fucking joke, especially now that they've dropped it down to 12mbps.
ahahahahaha what the fuck they dropped it down to 12mbps?

im so glad I live in a decent country with gigabit now

Speeds drop dramatically when you have to share the same tower with more people.
They could put up more and more towers, but at some point it's just cheaper to use land lines.

It can be a good solution for rural areas.
But not for cities.
And also not for very spread out rural areas where a tower can only cover a few houses.

"2K" and "1080p" are the same thing.

No.

1440p and 1080p. 2k and 1080p. Pretty fucking clear difference.

Actually There's not even a 4k option in YouTube for me anymore, even when the video is uploaded in 4k. I don't know if that's an ISP thing or something new introduced to YouTube, IE, detecting my screen resolution.

Actually I'm a fucking idiot.

But I meant 1440p and 1080p. Not DCI-2k

>"2K" and "1080p" are the same thing.

1440p is called "2,5k"

(technically it's all incorrect but normies gonna norm.....just try to norm correctly)

Fuck off with the Reddit memes,

Anyway It's late, give me a break.

>200 AUD for 100 GB

Holy shit. I thought I paid a lot when my last bill was 12 euros for 100GB.

>1440p is called "2,5k"
By whom?
