Protip: You can't.

1. inadequate cooling 2. insufficient cooling 3. sub-optimal cooling 4. incapable cooling 5. ineffectual cooling

I like my ThinkPad Yoga 460.

>cooling for just watching YouTube
Lmao, not the laptop's fault when you give it tasks like heavy rendering that's it's not meant to do.

Does this count as an Ultrabook?

ultrabooks are good but i wouldn't want one until you can get minimum 2tb ssd's at affordable prices desu

i got one too desu amazing machine what do you think of the tiny stylus? i used it for drawing it was pretty comfy but i might get the wacom ink

I love the pen. It was a major reason I got the Yoga. I'm coming from a T430.

They get hot
They throttle
They have small batteries
The don't have Ethernet ports
They have 'ultra' in the name

You mean a Thinkpad X230?

oh nice how much storage do you have desu?

i dont think it counts as an ultrbook if it has a hdd

You can put an SSD instead of you wish.

a mean a 2.5 inch drive though desu if it has m.2 it should count as an ultrabook

Define "best"

tablet PC with detachable keyboard

But the name Ultrabook is trademarked by Intel, so it's just a thin laptop then since it has Ryzen

Ultrabook = very easily portable ( less than 1.3kg) with a good screen and decent specs

Trash

Why are these so expensive anyway for their mediocre specs?
Is it just the weight that drives the price?

Yes

No built in optical drive.

No it doesn't
Ultrabook is a trademark for laptops certified by Intel™ so they can make sure manufacturers don't gimp them and to make sure a competitor in the cpu market can't make ultrabooks.

I have an X230, it has the worst goddamn screen that I've ever seen on any electronic device in my life

*coil whines*
*heat throttles*

They are

Unless you need this monstrosity and only need 15 minutes of battery life.

also
they more expensive
they have small screen
they dont have numpad
fragile
flimsy
muh apple-like products

why would I choose an ultrabook over a tablet with keyboard?

Why pay extra for a touchscreen function when you don't need it?

Ok.

1. It's not meant for heavy rendering
2. It's not meant for heavy video editing
3. It's not meant for heavy photo editing
4. It's not meant for heavy programming and compiling
5. It's not meant for anything I want to do with it.

Made thin for absolutely no reason at all

If you want a device to browse the internet on why not just get an iPad or chromebook

nah the surface pro is the best laptop you can get

coil whine is individual per model, some have them some don't

>heat throttle
they aren't meant to be used for anything that'll actually throttle you, that's why you have a desktop at home

I want more but nothing so demanding that would actually overheat it.

>they aren't meant to be used for anything
Correct.

> 5 reasonable arguments
Do you know what a deal breaker is?

They come with Wangblows. That's all you need to know.

>Lenovo yoga 2 pro
>set fan speed to max manually
>cpu idles at 90° C anyways
fuck ultrabooks

All of you are now aware that:
1) your computers are far more powerful than they need to be for what you do on them, and
2) you're blinking manually.

That's one reasonable argument for why ultrabooks aren't best. Even if they're priced fairly, they're too much for what most people should get.

>can't install gentoo
I expected better really

Nice lie bro, mines at just 40 when set to Max

Mine idles at 88° with thermal throttling off.

I expected better from YOU, user.
> pays the license
is where you lose.

>small batteries
Battery life is usually 9 hours streaming internet.

is coil whine a thing for all ultrabooks? even highend ones?

1) shit battery
2) poor portability
3) throttling
4) shit or no dedicated graphics
5) need to carry a billion adapters
