Just a few less known cool apps.

I've been having trouble finding an open source app for controlling devices like TVs, sound systems, and so on using the IR blaster on my phone, does anyone know of an open source app that brings this functionality? The closest I could find is TV Kill but it only works for shutting off the TV.

A closed source app may be acceptable too as long as it doesn't have ads, tracking, depends on GSF, or at least tries to be as non invasive/shady as possible

Try ASmart Remote IR

>depends on GSF
I hate this shit so much

What I'm looking at?

KDE connect

>What I'm looking at?
The app is Yalp, an alternative to using the official Google Play Store

GSF means 'Google Services Framework', it's a dependency for a lot of apps, the downside of using GSF is that it's literally malware made by google.

I don't usw Google Play Store nor GSF, so I can't use apps that are GSF-dependent.

Also Gadgetbridge, call recorder, CIDR calculator(sorry for being a brainlet), K-9 mail, KERNEL AUDITOR, OpenVpn, twidere, vanilla music, Bubble

>the downside of using GSF is that it's literally malware made by google.
Get a load of this guy

Enjoy your botnet.

I'm already enjoying. Maybe someday when you grow up you can enjoy it too.

That's called eating shit and enjoying it.

>the downside of using GSF is that it's literally malware made by google.
Wouldn't that be Google Play Services you're thinking on?

Maybe they changed the name of the service? At least that's how I came to know it.

So you're happy with sending all your information to google?

What file explorer should I use?

None. Fdroid is literal meme. If you have an iota of self respect use Yalp store.

File Explorer.
If you do't care for root.

a lot of app yalp says google dependent work without google framework
For example cpuz, shazam, nova launcher etc....

nothing, anyone using a launcher is a faggot

Worse yet they are recommending something worthless as Kiss launcher as an alternative for some reason.

You're right, I just tried the app that user recommended and it works without GSF. It seems like it already has the database of remote codes built into the app, but I blocked the app from accessing the internet anyway, just to be sure.

Maybe it's not open source but at least it's something somewhat less intrusive than regular apps.

I love Red Moon!

No? They are separate things: Google Service Framework and Google Play Services. At least, they are two separate things on my phone.

What are some good Red Moon settings ? just using default so far.

Why all the red moon wanking, doesn't android have that built-in? Or is that Samsung bloat
