in 2004 my dad was so lazy he wouldn't upgrade the hard drive in the family computer even though he was a military tech, so he bought an 80GB one of these to install everything to

Truly the most satisfying media I've ever used. The tactile feeling of holding the hefty disc made it feel like it could hold so much data. Damn shame they were so unreliable.

I prefer 3.5 floppies desu, even though they had less memory I just kinda feel like they're really fun to hold in your hand, like how you vibe with zip disks, I sometimes get tired of not actually being able to truly bond with any of the data on my hard drive desu, like sequences I make in Renoise and stuff, even my memes sometimes, I wish I had a USB floppy drive.

Used to run NetBSD on an old Sony laptop in 2001. Pic related is their old logo -- discarded for being non-PC.

Just remember I play game prince of persia on Win98 under DOS.

You now remember that there was literal toilet paper inside floppy disks.

Platinum is objectively the comfiest UI ever created.

SAS is good. NVMe is better. SATA will live forever because it's cheaper than either.

I remember saving up for a Windows ME PC when I was 17. I had to defend the OS constantly if I posted my specs.

Was that defrag screen just eye candy or was it real sectors?

This jangles my dangles.

It is but its attached to the shit-in-a-topless-blender-on-high that is classic Mac. I still can't get os9 to open shit in the proper program and sometimes at all.
