Because it was bought off by micro$oft

because native apps > cross-platform shit.

Say that to my face, see what happens

Because React Native is better.
And Flutter once it releases

because it is buggy as fuck. At least in visual studio.

>Flutter
this

Because telemetry studio is garbage

Because Pajeets

Fuck off Pajeet. Stop shitting in the street

Whiter than you retard

>no native linux client
>c# meme
into the trash it goes

At producing crappy apps

Does flutter compile to native code or JavaScript?

Huh, I didn't know java was native.. I thought it ran in a VM like C#..

*scratches his head* the fuck?

Still looks active to me github.com/mono/monodevelop or do you not know what deprecated means?

Java is native to Linux
Linux is coded in Java
Android is Linux

>mono doesn't make any sense when there is .net core.
>also we were talking about xamarin, not about its base.
oh... bonus for gtk + flatpak shit

>Linux is coded in Java
what?

>mono doesn't make any sense when there is .net core.
oh and idiot that doesn't under stand how .net core, mono, and .net standard fit together. Ok. Have a good day then.

...

>Java is native to Linux
You don't understand what Java is, do you?

*sighs* fuck it i will explain
.NET Core is a subset of core APIs that ALL .NET runtimes will need to support at minimum.
.NET Standard is a collection of 32,000+ APIs that extend .NET Core.
Mono is a implementation of .NET Standard with extras(namely around OSX and Linux system APIs)

Just because .NET Core is out and open source does not make it a good fit for any user application(No GUIs, OpenGL and other rendering is supported through P/Invoke, etc). .NET Core is really only good running in a docker container on some server. For desktop applications we will still have Microsofts .NET(with XAML) and Mono(with GTK#)

cute but we were talking about android studio vs xamarin.
there isn't any XAMARIN linux client and mono even though you can somewhat do that, it doesn't compare to xamarin.
on the other hand you can run the same Android Studio and use the same Java on Windows, Mac and Linux.
>Xamarin is worse than Android Studio (I literally can't run it since I don't own a Windows machine)
>C# is significantly inferior to Java since the only full version is windows only.

so... why would any1 use Xamarin instead of Android Studio if is it a lot worse?
the only wat Xamarin could be used instead of Android Studio is if you like to suck ms cock.
