TrueOS Pico sounds like wetdream.
Basically lets your raspberry PI act as thin client to a True OS Server running on your desktop so it can use the power from the desktop to help the PI not be absolute shit for desktop usage. That's actually really cool.

You forgot: no hardware support, tons of security flaws and poor software availability. The linux translation layer is nice in theory but buggy in practice with shit crashing all the time and their new init system is just as bad as systemd last I checked.
