How do I identify a good processor?

just look it up
You don't go to AMD's website
And listen to people who don't know any more than I do?
makw sure it has an intel logo on it
This, but it also needs a big number.
all of those processors in your picture are absolute shit
8400>7980XE, what do you mean by this
Heres how
Make sure it doesn't have Intel or AMD logo
Make sure it has a SiS sticker
>intel
>k
can't go wrong
This. Can't go wrong with Cyrix OP
As much as I fucking hate the Intel shills, they also speak true.
Intel as a trademark is somewhat a guarantee of quality, where as AMD is always a hit or a miss in some way, but with way less shekels shoveled around.
>get avoton atom
>dies a few year later
You should hate both shills, however I haven't heard too much from the intel ones, mostly the AMD ones lurking around on Sup Forums
atoms are good for what they are needed for, desktop use. Both my sister and my Father have surface pros with atoms and they are both still very functional machines. Only think holding them back is shit storage.
More GHz the better. My fx-8350 smokes most CPUs these days and it's 6 years old! 8x5 (5ghz) is 40 while Intel 8600k is only 6x4 (4ghz) 24.
>When you think more cores=better
cpu.userbenchmark.com
your retarded.
>mfw this Intel pajeet thinks he can fool us with fake benchmarks
lol you were comparing it to intel in the first place. Bulldozer architecture is cancer. Here i'll let you give me your own "reputable" source where I can compare 8600k and 8350. Higher clock speeds does NOT equal better. The pentium g4560 has a higher clock speed than an i5 8400 yet the latter is leagues better.
Get an R5 1600 or 1600X depending on budget. Problem solved.
Ryzen is >50% faster per core than the old FX lineup.
...
honestly though. Ryzens are the only amd chips worth getting.
hey mods another tech support thread.
delete delete
i'll delete you
Identify your use case and budget.
Lol
>still no desktop APU
AMD blew it.
Benchmarks for your specific scenario
That's an x cpu not a k cpu
>inb4 moving the goalpost
>taking bait seriously
Dude cmon he literally multiplied cores by clockspeed
eat poop nuggets
bigger number = better
Lowest power consumption with however many cores you need for multitasking, at whatever clock rate you need for your software applications.
