hey tpg does anyone know a way of eliminating (or at least mitigating) the noise in the audio out on an x200/x201 ultrabase that doesnt involve buying another dac? i dont really care about latency perhaps i could create a filter by routing the audio out back into the mic jack? that almost seems plausible... thoughts? obviously im open to any stupid idea.

Yea I just read that The thing is, I read the same drive works for other people with the X40/X41, so maybe their drives have 3.3V and 5V or something, I don't know In any case, got a 3.3V mSATA converter on the way, and one of the reviews on the website was someone saying it works on their X41

I used a gen3 for over a year running arch linux. The only problem I encountered was the monitor brightness keys not working, which I fixed with xbindkeys and some scripts. The fingerprint reader doesn't have linux firmware and probably never will.

If you want an 1080p, you'll need a more recent series, and they're not as repairable/upgradable.
Depending on your size needs, look at X250, W520, and a T-something.
