App that plays videos

>app that plays videos
>over 120 Mb

Google was a mistake.

You were a failed abortion.

It's always about 5 mb usability ,~100 mb bloat and botnet

>iOS

>not using a third-party solution that allows background playback
Deserve it tbhhhh

It's more if you actually use it.

Works on my machine :^)

What is your version of android? Looks pretty good aside from the font choice.

seeing good UI is rare this days

>iOS
Well there's your problem.

I'm using KitKat on an LG L70.
Here's the app info but with Roboto font.

>123.3 MB
>not 123.4 MB

>331 mb cache

it mostly all the languages installed on the app to the whole store.

Fucking lazy developers, instead of making a version of the app for each country they just slap all of it for the whole world

>serifs

>complaining about bloat
>iOS
chuckled

>video ads load instantly
>actual YT videos in constant buffering

Newpipe is light because all it does is show you the video, it doesn't have all the channel management thing, hell it doesn't even have comments.

why would anyone use it then, some comments are more gold than entire videos

0.11.2 is on github

freetards

haha le funny youtube comments xD

>channel management
The few people who upload videos and manage their videos from their phone can install the bloated one.
Most people watch videos.
newpipe allow you to watch videos without ads, allow you to watch videos in a window, allow you to quickly create a playlist, allow you to store videos etc.
It is a vastly better player than the one google makes.
There is a huge issue with it though and I think it is more of an oversight than an actual bug: The video orientation is not estimated correctly.
I don't know why android uses system wide automatic orientation as it is much easier for each individual app to implement it better.
For newpipe, it should just read the resolution of the video and then display the video so it is maximized by default. Otherwise it is a decent video player

Newpipe used to crash on my old phone so I switched to webtube.

It used to crash some versions ago (around 0.10) but now it doesn't crash at all. Unless it crashed on the current version for you.
