not a real country

Oooooo-Oooooh! It's all over my bed sheets and cheese crust O_o

AAAAAAAAAAAA! Welp )_) I'm drowning in my leakage X_X ZOMG

Are you english? Because England has no parliament of it's own and is arguably much less a country than Ireland

Do you tick all the boxes of the death grips fan checklist?

I tick about half of those and I don't even know what a Death Grips is

> belgium telling me I'm not a real country

>belgium
absolutely howling

You do know éire and eire are different words?

alri

>being this new

my advice would be keep it that way

>dirty br*t posters itt instead of Irish-Greek masterrace
what's next fucking namefags!?

Not new whatsoever, just hate seeing /ireland/ /burden/.

it's for the catalog lad

You could just cont + f eire and still find éire.
I'm being way too picky about this, sorry.

i just tried it, doesn't work. using firefox and w10.

Ah, works on chrome.

>tfw no average irish gf

saw you on Sup Forums earlier

Best genes

question

I only know the word pratai and it didn't help me much

What do you think of this song about the Irish?
youtu.be/V5CH9fB5_6s
Rate it pls, it's sung by one of the most famous Finnish singers
Here's the lyrics: lyricstranslate.com/en/en-oo-käyny-irlannissa-i-have-never-been-ireland.html

i tick 9 if i counted right
no idea what death grips is either

Pretty cool, I like it!
thanks for sharing that

Thank
I especially like and relate to this part:
>"They said that the strength of a small nation is in their art
>It is tattooed in the musician's soul of the people.
>A small nation does not make it in the world if they don't have a heart and the spirit"

No she wouldn't be able to understand you

Nice

The French did one too

Person from Dublin i.e. A smelly knacker

...

people from the capital are dumb?
same thing here kek and pretty much everywhere else kek

try and catch me faggit

Why do you guys say "How are you" as a greetings
I barely understand it and say "Hi" instead of "fine, thanks"

watching cluain tarbh on tg4
their documentaries are top notch
everyone says that even outside ireland
just say "grand grand, what about yourself?". itll sound very funny with a french accent

any Swiss-Americans here? I'm gonna kick your arses

"How are you"
"H-hi"
I must have sounded so autistic my good
But Irish people and the Americans tourists I met were adorable. Will definitively come back one of these days.

nah saying hi in response is a bit weird but still acceptable. just say "im fine thanks" and youll be grand

To be honest if English isn't your first language no one would think it was a weird reply. They'd hear your accent and realise.

the best lads

Whats the craic lads
Thought id be a namefag from now on, sick of being mistaken for a brit, whats the point of Sup Forums if i can't have the flag i belong to

You the lad learning Irish?

Christ you've some sixth sense
Aye lad that's me, been practicing in my head all through work, really enjoying picking it up again.
Still couldn't get that torrent running though

i take it you're learning ulster irish? been using the bbc course on it and duolingo for the past few months
starting uni soon and they offer a beginners irish course which i might do

Just use the nualeargas and duolingo for the time being.

Aye ofcourse, wouldn't be much use to me other wise. Imo we should try bring the dialects together, too much of a divide for such a small country
>duolingo
Aye i think they use Munster Irish though, i have to keep correcting the pronunciation in my head when i use it
Will do lad cheers
Does either of them give ye any lesson on the actual rules of the language.
Like for example i know that, in English, a present tense verb gets an "ing" added to the end
And "a" turns to "an" if the next word begins with a vowel, and so on and so forth.

Think it'd really help me grasp it if i understood the rules.

youtube.com/watch?v=0G4sQQIvR54

...

Same

Well the 'action word', the -ing in Irish called the verbal noun.
It's "ag + verbal noun".

So you have the verb Déan which is to do/make.
It's verbal noun is déanamh. Táim ag déanamh an chócaireacht - I'm doing the cooking.
A more simple example would be "Táim ag déanamh go maith" - I'm doing good.

The verbal adjective is another thing that fits in this category.
It's basically the past tense of a verb?

Again with the verb Déan, the verbal adjective is 'déanta' - done.

Tá sé déanta agam - I have it done.
Tá an dinnéar déanta - The dinner is done.

Lmao captcha was 188
Sent it before i could screenshot
Fuck
This is actually very helpful, i appreciate all your help lad
Is there a rule regarding multiples
For example
Apple/Apples
Úll/???
Or is it different for every word
