BEST ANTIVIRUS

Criteria:

1. Cheap/free
2. Lightweight
3. Good in general in terms of security

Common Sense™

eset
t. worked 5 years in two different major av companies.

malwarebytes

Any Unix-like OS and common sense will do.

Install Gentoo

Are there any working cracks?

>malwarebytes
>antivirus
try again

>needing anything other than Common Sense and the occasional Malwarebytes scan
>needing the pro version
Free/Lite version is enough m8

yea but i does not have real time protection which blocks shitty sites and ads.

>viruses
>2018
grandpa

literal meaning is not the issue. antimalware and antivirus mean different things.

antimalwares:
malwarebytes
emsisoft
hitman pro
zemana

antivirus:
kaspersky
eset
bitdefender
norton

The GNU operating system with Linux installed.

Use Ublock Origin then.

If i have one anti malware and one antivirus, wont they clash with each other?

it's marketing bs, they usually don't clash but too many filter drivers slows the fuck of the sistem

I think that there isn't exists a perfect antivirus

>perfect and best are the same thing

Common Sense

/thread

Panda antivirus

It's the most lightweight, it's great at detecting shit, but one small caveat, it needs internet to work, since it does all of the virus analysis via cloud.

It's a great antivirus to install in normalfag computers, though.

Common Sense + Windows Defender

Antivirus software is just a placebo (pronounced "Place Bow").

clamav is the only shit you need if common sense isn't enough

I use Eset and Malwarebytes.

Better question
What are the safest pornsites to go on.

Common sense.

It's pronounced pla see boh

>I need a crack for malwarebytes
This mindset is exactly why *you* need anti-virus. Jesus dude. I was pretty dumb as a teenager but I don't think I was ever *this* dumb

For general defense, I follow the mass by using Avast.
For scan a file, virustotal
For run a file, sandboxie

who is this whore and why do i want to insert my fully errect male genitals in her, and thrust her vile body until i shoot goey white strings into her vagoo which will not give birth to a child since she is on the cock carussel enabler aka the pill

Sophos!

because teenagers get easily excited by any slut, that's why

fuck i cringed so hard
you really do belong here

Holy fuck did this thread bring out the sperg army or is this really the current state of /g?

...

>lightweight
>uses up half your bandwidth
at least it saves your precious HDD space

It saves processor time

>judging Sup Forums based on one thread full of shitposts

Common Sense™ Got brain Extremly Rare Edition

I'm not that important to be spied on by an antivirus so I don't care

This. It is our preferred antivirus.
>free
Faggot. You’re not getting more-than-weekly database updates on the latest virus definitions for free from anyone.
But if you insist on being a cunt, you can download Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool (KVRT) a stand-alone executable that you’ll have to redownload every time there is an update and only run it manually.
If you want shit you can suck a dick with shitty freeware AV that won’t even find everything, you can use KVRT and manually download and run it every week or you can actually pay and get software that updates and runs itself on a schedule.

>malwarebytes
>antivirus
Every fucking time.
Glad to see REAL common sense^tm
ESET = your antivirus of choice, with AVG, Kaspersky being alternatives, and malwarebytes being your antimalware.

Windows Defender, unironically.

Windows defender + common sense^tm is really all anyone needs, but for when you lack the latter, there are paid solutions

I'm pretty happy with Windows Defender. Been using MBAM free edition for a while and was thinking about getting the paid version for real-time protection; is it worth it?

Mate, you aren't using Common Sense if you have an AV running in the BG.

AVG?

its not lightweight if it has real time protection and the free versions are adware.

Why do people install antiviruses when windows already comes with an antivirus installed?

You should try not being a dumbass. It's free, it doesn't take any hardware resources, and if you do it right it's better than any antivirus.

>antivirus

so we meet again 2004

So what really is the difference between anti-virus and anti-malware?

I looked on google and got advertisments and one blog that said malware was a wider scope than viruses.
I have an anti-virus that it said anyway covers the things that fall under malware.

We use Webroot at work. Super lightweight and seems to be pretty good at stopping/cleaning threats.

>Common Sense
>Lightweight
Common Sense has a human being as a dependency. Talk about bloatware.

carbon black

antimalware developers will claim that their software is also antivirus but it's not true.

Antivirus:
- Backend servers for clustering, classification and automatic signature generation. (original signatures)
- Real AV lab for researching real malware & rootkit.
- Local virus database and Antivirus engine.
- Real-time protection (with drivers ofc)

Antimalware:
- Cloud scanning (query file hashes). optionally local db.
- Better adware & browser cleaning capability.
- No real backend for signature creation (mostly they get malware they don't detect from virustotal and create signature out of them)
- Mostly no real-time protection (or inferior to a real AV).

Some Antivirus products:
- Kaspersky
- Eset
- Norton
- Bitdefender

Some Antimalware products:
- Malwarebytes
- Hitman pro
- Emsisoft
- Zemana

There are companies have both such as comodo.

No, place bow you fucking retard

ESET NOD32 with trial keys that can be taken online.

ESET or Bitdefender?

Former is $40 but the latter is on sale for $20

eset's engine is the fastest and most reliable. bitdefender is ok. kaspersky has a great lab but a shitty engine.

i would go with eset nevertheless.

Got a link? I can't find it with Google.

I'll sperg in your mother's pussy bitch nigga
Now answer my fucking question pillow biter

>I can't find it with Google.
then you shall not have it

>human is bloat
lmao Sup Forumsets it
also, could utilize firejail

Ubuntu.

Trend Micro as worked pretty well for me over the years. Cheap too
