What do you learn about the Vietnam War in school in your cunt?

What do you learn about the Vietnam War in school in your cunt?

y'all were destined to lose

johnson was a little bitch

Nothing really.

>Agent Orange and Napalm
>Good Morning Vietnam
>Gommies
>Hanoi
>POW Camps

>Part of Cold war
>usa lost

We should have listened to Barry Goldwater and just dropped a nuke on Hanoi.

Hippies did a lot of drugs and shit or something.

...

Cool proxy, Australia.

that america won

nope

do you learn about the falklands war?

didn't think so

you mean the anglo war of aggression?

how does it make you feel knowing that you will never EVER get those islands?

...

How can the defender be the aggressor?

>it ain't me starts playing

But you invaded them.

Nothing. I learned everything from Apocalypse Now

-the CIA killed JFK to wage the war
-vietcon stronk
-america used chemical weapon
-butthurt hippies
-america pulled out

SOME FOLKS ARE BORN

MADE TO WAVE THE FLAG

THERE MUST BE SOME KIND OF WAY OUT OF HERE

>we try to stop communsim
>some people are upset about this for some reason
>drop out of the war
>commies kill a bunch of people in the region sometime later

The typical US baaad commies gooood

SAID THE JOKER TO THE THIEF

>-the CIA killed JFK to wage the war
No motive, JFK already got our toes in the water before his death

>-vietcon stronk
n-nOH

>-america used chemical weapon
Weapon is a bit harsh, pesticide would be more accurate

After all, it removed a lot of pests :^)

>-butthurt hippies
>-america pulled out
Yes

I did actually
Quoting my history teacher:
"A pointless war."

I SEE A RED DOOR AND I WANT TO PAINT IT BLACK

PLEASED TO MEET YOU

HOPE YOU GUESS MY NAME

It's the truth. The USA entered the War thinking of it's selfish interests.

This isn't what we actually learn, we learn vague shit about how war is bad (except ww2 and the gulf war). American education is about showing only emotional pictures so that student can't get a clear idea about what happened.

THERE IS A HOUSE
IN NEW ORLEANS

Just as the Soviets when they backed and supplied Ho Chi Minh.

I SEE THE BAD MOON RISING

Vietnam
>1 November 1955– 30 April 1975 (19 years, 5 months, 4 weeks and 1 day)
>Total dead: 1,484,000–3,886,026
Falklands
>2 April – 14 June 1982[1][2] (2 months, 1 week and 5 days)
>Total dead: 258 humans and 649 argies

yeah totally the same m8

Fortunate Son
All Along The Watchtower
Paint it Black
Sympathy for the Devil
House of the Rising Sun
Bad Moon Rising

Tell me again why this is not the best music in modern times?

American teachers are all ex-hippies. My American History in high school teacher played "Who are you?" During the first day of class

>258
there were 1090 inbreed bongs and mercs killed

also you commit a war crime, killing 300 argies in the Belgrano

americans were stupid as usual roka killed lots of vietcongs i feel sorry for some vietnamese citezen

>No motive, JFK already got our toes in the water before his death
wasn't he against the full-commitment to vietnam?

1. 100% sure you didn't learn that in school
2. Fuck off. You have no idea what you're talking about

Nothing

French schools are a joke.

This.

I learned about weaponry and the domino effect as well.

Overall, it was more to do about the cold-war.

Watched Fog of War yesterday. Murrica completely missunderstood and misinterpreted vietnamese motivations as usual...

nothing....but it was lost because you can't win wars militarily and was fought between a corrupt kleptocratic dictatorship and a brutal Stalinist-Communist dictatorship that cost between 882,000 and 1.8 million people their lives, and left another 2 million maimed or crippled.

If you don't have bones in something that doesn't effect you, you better be at the head of it.

AMERICAN REVISIONISM

We kicked Frenchies out, the countries at the was already divided into two parts (i don't remember reason), then Americans came and tried to prevent North Vietnam to unify with South Vietnam.

Without America, we could annex South Vietnam much faster.

Huh, i made double posts somehow.

"Yes"
Johnson mostly picked up Kennedy's torch, with his own spin on things of course

It's a big grand "What if" when it comes to Kennedy and the Gulf of Tonkin incident

>Why America was bad
>Why South Vietnam was bad
>Why North Vietnam was good
>Why communism isn't that bad
>Why America shouldn't have gotten involved in the war
>American war crimes
>Agent Orange
>American bombing of civilians

HOW MANY ROADS MUST A MAN WALK DOWN

Huge dent in Americas image as good guys because of those massacres

They took refuge in our country and after the war is over, they went back home

-

based vietcong patriots defending their country from the imperialists united states of aggressors with the help of our bikes

War isn't supposed to be nice.

Virtually nothing. The majority of high school history classes might as well end at 1900. You spends loads of time talking about early American history from the first explorers up through about the late 1800s or early 1900s. The greatest focus of most history classes' time through is pretty much the time period starting a few decades before the revolution and ending shortly after the civil war.

If modern history even gets covered at all it's blown through quickly the week before finals. You'd be lucky to get to WWII let alone Vietnam.

SOME FOLKS ARE BORN

Part of cold war, Americans got btfo.

i did Political History (20th century history really with no social stuff) at school for gcse(14-16) and we covered Russo Japanese war, WW1, Hitlers Rise, Stalin, WW2, McCarthyism, Korea, Kennedy and Vietnam. The other choice was British social history which didnt appeal at the time.

Vat? I distinctly remember school history class being filled with tons of Holocaust and Jim Crow guilt.

Nothing. I mean really, we skip it.

>frogs getting btfo
>usa scared because muh domino effect
>usa sending shit heaps of equipment and money to south vietnam but they still get fucked by a bunch of peasants in flip flops
>usa bullshits its way in through gulf of tonkin incident
>bullies nz into it because we're a bunch of cucks
>we send fuck all troops
>war stagnates, tet offensive happens, public opinion against war
>america withdraws, north vietnam wins, lots of people dead
>agent orange
that's about it

Traitors, desu

What? I didn't remember this.

I learned that a teacher was unable to pronounce "Exocet".

i think it was briefly mentioned
