Thank you for letting me know this will exist when it comes time to build my new rig. I was waiting for a mATX threadripper mobo.

>1/6 of the board taken up by cou

That's a big CPU

>Asrock

And all my RAM will go where exactly?
They are crippling the cpu if anything.

More like ASSrock!!!
Amirite? xxDD lul

have been using those ass rocks for years and never ever had a single problem.

completely different to the gigabyte and msi boards I had in the past.

There are 4 slots for quad channel 64GB

for

YES

U U U U

They do the impossible where other manufacturers don't even try. I'm running a 14c on this with 64GB. It's been my favorite board.

Yea, bought my first asrock and it has random boot freezes

>nvmeme
>not 4 x16
fucking soiled it

Welcome to the new millennium.
Most of the I/O are integrated in the CPU nowadays, and there is no need for big motherboards anymore, just enough space for the connectors, for RAM, and for the few remaining chips.

Were you really planning to run a single slot graphics card with this?

for display only, why not
and you can always buy a riser for double slots

I guess but if you're going to buy a riser anyway then you can have as many slots as you want. They have M.2 to PCIe adapters too.

Why would you do this? They cut off the extra PCIE port. What a waste

For portable builds

Is that the maximum capacity? I guess not.

M.2 is 3.0 x4 max

Not sure why you'd need the full 128GB unless you plan to run a shitload of VMs. Even then 64GB is perfectly serviceable.

More than enough for plenty of uses. Hell you could even run a GPU off of it.

H O T

but can you see what i'm trying to say? you're losing a piece of the functionality. The whole reason to go threadripper desu is the 64 PCIE lanes

mITX when? I just want the whole thing to be a socket

>The whole reason to go threadripper

It's A reason, not the reason. I have no use for it. All you see it being used for most of the time is the superfluous M.2. slots. I want the 16 cores in a small form factor.

yes, okay, very good then.

>that socket
I'd love to see a mini ITX Threadripper board

ASROCK :D :D :D :D :D

It will stop working when warranty ends.

about that...

Kawaii nigga. ~ :3c

Oh fuck off. They make better mobos than the rest lol.

What's wrong with asrock?

Having twicce much failure rate. Twice zero is zero.

I would much rather have 3 m.2 U. And one pcie x16.

Yes, it sure must be motherboard not your lack of dignity.

That's nice. Why don't we have more processors then?

...

I can see how they could manage it.
Would need SO-DIMMS though.

This looks amazing. Where the hell is chipset? I want chipset on my motherboard, just don't say I don't need it. It's better with it. Just another component to look inportant andd to cool is necessary in design.

you don't need a chipset in that mobo

But does it support ECC?

The ATX Taichi does so most likely

I want chipset in the motherboard and I want computer conneccts to eachother by PCIE interface... maintained by another computer.

It comes with a gear thing so you can press it and reverse time when the amd regret finally sets it

So you have 64 pcie lanes, where there is 16 connecting to other processors 4x connecting each other, summoning satan...

Or you have just 3x each other with one graphic

Or 2x each other with one graphic and ssd optionally 2x each other with graphic and graphic

THE SOCKET

But honestly, why the fuck would you get a dual channel board for TR.

now my media server can have the same processor and mobo as my desktop

this is cool

It's quad channel
