Why do you still use propietary software?

Why do you still use propietary software?

Because it works.

convenience

Because sometimes there's either no alternative or no good alternative.

The only acceptable reason.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'd rather use FOSS any day, but sometimes I don't have a good choice, or I'd be limiting myself. Like the noveau driver, for example.

because its what others use

4ching is proprietary :^)

Because it just werks
why else?

and 8 ching isn't

I don't?

tell me ur tech stack down to each of your os drivers

i dont

Because FOSS alternatives are almost always total shit that's a pile of half finished features.

Because Linux is still laughably bad

Pick one and only one:

>a highly trained team of professionals (software developers, UI designers, DB engineers, customer support etc) who are experienced and highly motivated to deliver the best possible product without bugs and errors and they get compensated monetarily and by other means for their efforts by the company they work for

>some hobbyists who do development in their free time and might not even have met each other IRL ever and are unmotivated to maintain the project for an extended period of time, do not know jack shit about UI design and 95% of the time they just abandon the project in the year of start.

It's a no brainer unless you are a contrarian autist

>how to identify emotional manbabies:the post

>experienced and highly motivated

doesn't exist as far as i know, and i'm in one of the big 5

Because it can play Mario and botw

Because my school forces me even if I'm using my own Libre booted Thinkpad with GNU/Linux

I will when there is a good open source alternative to foobar

Because no free alternatives with feature parity.

Is there any real benefit to using libreboot?

Because they are better.
Why do you purposely use shitty programs?

CIA-nigger Free

it just werks

>Why do you still use propietary software?
only Sup Forums

have you been under a rock for the last couple of years?

Yes i don't have Intel botnet and my computer boots faster

proprietary software is always better every single time to the point where it might be a physical law

My Thinkpad already boots fairly fast. It takes 6-7 seconds to get to GRUB.
