Where are the feet idols?

Anyway, I bought the takstar pro 82. There is just one review on the internet, and it convinced me.

niggers tongue my headphones

would this amp be able to drive a 600 ohm headphone?

delete this

i think so.
i have an older version of that amp

Is the Bluetooth adapter alright on the m40x? I was thinking about buying a shorter cable for when I’m out and about but was debating if I wanted the Bluetooth adapter instead.

It should. Audio GD is nice gear.

Maybe you should take a look at Lake People as well.

Using RHA MA750I, opinions?

Do you like them? If so, then you're good. What exactly is the question? Are you looking for an upgrade path? Validation? Berating?

Sennheiser HD558

Looking for something to listen music with when I'm not home, I don't really mind isolation overall but I'd like to have minimal sound leakage.

Beats solo 3 sit on my ears perfectly and don't press against my temple/against my glasses which most headphones do.
Of course, I don't want to pay the ridiculous price - $300+ in leaf here

What are similarly fitting headphones that are $100-200 and aren't shit?
(no ma 900 as I can't try them on / discontinued)

Oh, I confused different Beyer amp models in my head. It was the A1 that I was thinking. And that has non-switchable output impedance of 100 ohms. My bad.

As for why that or the A2 has 100 ohms, no idea. Perhaps to play along with the IEC 61938 standard, and/or to fine tune the response of their high impedance headphones with it? But then, that standard calls for an output impedance of 120 ohms, something which has practically never been implemented due to headphone development towards lower impedances due the increased popularity of portable audio.

Pic sort of related. Sennheiser HD 424 - original model was 2000 ohms.
>It was a different time, you understand. 1973 ... or '74.

But that's objectively wrong, Sennheiser is the best even my mommy tells me so.

I can tell this is going to be a great thread already.

My AT m40x just arrived, they're my first Sup Forums-tier headphones

I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to music on plebphones again holy shit.

Idol trash here.
What's your setup like, user?

sometimes I want to get a pair of vintage headphones that aren't made anymore and not just because of the aesthetics or novelty - some believe older models sound really good (might require a nuclear plant to power them though). My wishlist: old AKG K240, Sennheiser 565, Beyerdynamic 880 Pro 600 Ohm etc.

but somehow I can't find anything cool on ebay.

Stop shitting these threads.

I have noise cancelling Bose headphones, but I feel like it might hurt my hearing in the future. I have a baby brother that can't stop fucking crying so I was wondering if I should invest in noise isolating ones instead?

hey whats your opinion on these wireless guys, Audio-Technica ATH-AR3BTBK ?

They look rad and I have small ears so these seem great for a pair of headphones at work. But Im gonna be wearing them all day so i want them to be comfortable.

What are you currently listening to and with what headphones?

Minor update, been busy.

Anyone?

I'm listening to some signalwave with my mdr-7506's. I got a pair of Sony 1000mx2's, fantastic nc and sound for bluetooth.

I also have a pair of HD558's for extra comfy, more soundstage and vidya.

throw him in the trash

why the fuck does my dt990s left driver keep fucking dying. I opened it up and the connections inside the cup are fucking fine.

If you're saying the obvious then you shouldn't bother

Why do you think noise cancelling headphones will harm your hearing?

Oh yeah, vintage headphones can be really good and give more modern equivalents a run for their money.
I used to have the AKG K240 Monitor (the 600 Ω ones) and Sennheiser HD 545 in my collection, but eventually ended up selling both onward. Nothing wrong with either, I just found them not getting as much use as others.

Just keep an eye on Ebay and other sites and deals on vintage stuff should pop up from time to time. Right now on Ebay there seems to quite a bunch of K240 Monitors and one HD 565, for instance.

get the fiio btr1 for that comfy look

I dunno, maybe paranoia because of the pressure I feel while using it for more then 6 hours makes me feel like I'm making a mistake or something.

Maybe you should loosen them up a tad?

can see the AKGs, but not the Sennheiser. can you post the link?

Let me add to this I need a detachable cable

nevermind, found through google on canadian ebay. can't be found through global ebay.

Reminder that schiit is worse than chink shit

where is the other headphone list

>no LS50's
You cant have the HD600 and not have the LS50's

I'm thinking about getting closed headphones for work/my way to work/general traveling.

My question: Are on-ears/over-ears even usable during the summer, or do they make you sweat like a madman?

Are closed headphones even suited for traveling in general or should I just stick to my in-ears? I'm currently using the Soundmagic e10.

Im not seeing the CB1 on canpicker?

The m40x or the status audio cb1 are both really good headphones, although I recommend the getting the hm5 sheepskin pads for the m40x

said those pads will help a lot too. I'd imagine those stock pads getting clammy.

Weird, didn't show up for while until now, also it says the the cb-1 is v shaped, wtf they are not v shaped at all, closer to neutral u shaped

>The Sennheiser HD600 have an average build quality. The open ear cups feel dense enough, to not crack or get damaged by a few falls. However, the headband feels fragile. Also, the metal frame that links the ear cups to the headband is connected by a thin joint that looks weak and feels susceptible to breaking under moderate physical stress.

HD600 vs Q701. How do I feel about these?

>run by sven, pajeet, and Tyrone
Great site.

Love em, just want to know what others think of it

so i got this meme & my right ear really hurts inside when listening to treble. left ear is fine and that probably not tinnitus cuz i listen to music with really low volume. anyone else have this problem?

yes. seems like a good deal but the cable, headband, foam and probably earpads need to be replaced.

HD600 is a legendary headphone with excellent reputation.
Q701 is just some AKG model.

Headphones: HD650, DT990, V moda M-100, SHP 9500s

Amp: Magni 3

DAC: Topping D30

>ls50s
uh those are pretty expensive man.

Yep, those'll need some TLC.
- Headband padding gone totally flat -> get a cheap 3rd Chinese HD 600 or 650 padding for a few bucks.
Protip: don't throw away the original padding! The 600/650 padding is slightly shorter than that on the 535/545/565 - you can cut extension pieces from the old padding)
- The cable might as well be fine with some tweaking, but replacements are cheap.
- Pads actually look to be in nice condition, just getting new foam discs would probably be enough if you want to go to stock configuration.

Protip the 2nd: be careful while removing the clip that holds the headband padding in place, it's slightly differently designed and a bit harder to remove than on the 580/600/650.

Now that's a meme setup

>probably not tinnitus

Seeing as you didn't mention anything about hearing ringing I would have to agree.

Maybe you have an ear infection?

What dac+amp under $100 would u recommend for the HD 600?

none

save for schiit magni and modi

How are you user's with tinnitus doing

Yeah that doesn't sound right. Changed to neutral in next release and will also note they're bigger than they appear in images.

M40x

>Topping D30
Excellent DAC choice

thanks. I'll wonder how far the other bidders are willing to go.

SMSL M3, Whatever you do, do not get the schiit modi

Hmm, sorta semi-uneducated guess, but I'd say bidding on those might as well go up to around 80 bucks max if the other people are *really* determined to get them.
The missing foam discs under the pads, flattened headband padding and that mention of the cable will likely result in lower bidding, I feel.
I'd say set a realistic max price you're willing to pay and drop around the end of the auction. But don't end up overpaying, as deals on cans from that Senn line up aren't that uncommon.

Tyll's old man hearing does not reflect on his overall credibility, just his subjective audio evaluation. However, this completely relevant image demonstrates rtings' lack of overall credibility. Nice try comparing apples and oranges.

Yes, Custom Studio are much better than DT770.

I just got this headset from BestBuy. I know fuckall about headsets, so I'd like to know your opinion on this "gaming headset".

Does ipx6 means the headphones can resist rain and shower? Also how do I know if apt-x is working?

welp, didn't win. first ebay told me I couldn't bid due to country restrictions, then I tried again and it told me someone outbid me...

next time I guess.

Oh, bummer. But yeah, there'll be a next time!

>(no ma 900 as I can't try them on / discontinued)
you are an idiot
who cares? bid on this instead
yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionID=l418481903

It's probably the fourth best "wireless gaming headset" behind the arctis 7, sibera 800/840, and man'o'war in terms of sound and mic quality. I think the pads are decent while the arctis 7 have pads so thin your ear will scrape on the driver housing no matter what (hm5 compatible tho). The siberia 800 cost way more than you should spend on a headset. And the man'o'war has some serious QC problems.

>gaming headset
Lmao retard

how does delivery work on this website? it says Europe: (190 usd)
but is that the price of the item + shipping or just for shipping?
in any case delivery seems expensive. even within Japan it's 1500 yen == ~$15.

I don't know, someone else here does. but you're looking at $300 now used buying from ebay ($400-800 new) because they have become increasingly harder to find. $200-250 is the price to buy them at

as long as you like it user then that's all that matters

huh.

The DAC you already have + Magni3 or Objective 2.
Fulla 2 will distort at anything but very low volume with HD600, and DAC X6 is absolute garbage, so don't bother with these two.
