Portuguese first king is French!
...
...
>Portuguese first king is Moroccan
Fixed
>estonian language
>his country isn't an artificial entity birthed from the geopolitical interests of other countries
Why live?
>his language is not exactly like mine
>his country is not exactly like mine
>he is not me
Why even live?
i have a 2 out of 3 do i pass?
Of course. Be sure to spam wikipedia battles and bacalhau memes.
But their language is different enough to warrant a warning flag. I'd never use Brazilian Portuguese over English, much like almost everyone here. That flag usually means that the words have the Brazilian spelling, which is fair since there are 20x more Brazilians than Portuguese and we know English well enough not to need it.
We'd be cucked if we were forced to click that because we had no better option.
>his country isn't the oldest in europe
Neither is yours, you dipshit.
Portugal has the oldest BORDERS, but at least England, France and Greece have existed for a while longer.
He was born from a French family, but he was born in what would become Portugal.
Guimarães was in the Portucalese county, which was in the Galician Province of the Leon Kingdom. He was still born here.
Also, by definition, no founder king is ever born in the nationality they found. How would that work?
>Greece as always been an united country.
Whatever, I just needed one counter example, and England/France fit the bill.
>his country never had an empire
>his language isn't one of the most spoken in the world
>his country isn't the oldest in europe
Literally describing France.
>French
>not one of the most spoken languages in the world
Why are you so jealous, João?
It's the 18th most spoken language in the World.
Portuguese is the 6th.
French is still more relevant in Europe, though, since they are like 7 or 8 times more than us.
>greece
aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii limão.
Have you heard about the ottoman empire?
Foda-se, esquece a Grécia. Dei mais dois exemplos.
>his country isn't the oldest in europe
Well, yours sure isn't. We are older than you.
Bulgaria is actually the oldest European country
that hasn’t changed its name since it was first established in 681 AD.
>his country never had an empire
been there done that
>his language isn't one of the most spoken in the world
You got me here. Still, 2 out of 3, the same as you.
your country is 138 years old at best.Or do you count the years you were under the ottoman rule?
are you ironically or unironically retarded
What the fuck has bulgaria done in the last 800 years at some point it's sad instead of a bragging point that youve just been existing for so long with nothing notable happening
Why do most Portuguese people have grumpy faces? Is everyone here depressed?
>his country was cucked by islam
>nice digits
people in lisboa are particularely melancholic, it's cultural.
The rest of us are so-so, things aren't easy this days and that takes a toll on people's energy
the irony overwhelms me
Hello father
Are you proud of your son?
>portugal
>oldest in europe

ur food is nice too
Well fair enough. Just wanted to know cus I'm moving here. Also are people from Lisbon more melancholic because of the Fado music?
...
Which is why we are proud of yours.
Despite having vastly different ingredients and climate, Brazilian food is very much tuned to a Portuguese palate.
Like, there's almost 0 dishes that I dislike, unlike a lot of other countries. Even Spain, France and Italy have a lot of food that I don't like, but most of Brazil's dishes are okay, despite being farther removed geographically.
It's like a Portuguese-on-vacation type of diet.
Farofa is GOAT.
>Farofa is GOAT
Truer words have never been written
on new years my grandmother always make bacalhoada with farofa... life is good
Yet there's nothing even close to resembling Farofa here, but we really like it.
Also, it's amazing that such a hot country doesn't spam tomato in every single dish.
Based. Bacalhau is usually a Christmas dish here. Well, it's an every day dish, but Christmas is the only "obligatory" one.
The melancholy of lisboetas is what made their musical tradition focus on sad tones.
If you see the city festivities (st antonio), you'll note that the tone is much lighter and happy, like everywhere else in the country.
Yeah!
>The melancholy of lisboetas is what made their musical tradition focus on sad tones.
They got nothin on Coimbra.
Lisboa isn't melancholic, it's just miserable because the city sucks.
Portuguese are French in denial
Like Englishmen
By that line of reasoning we're all african.
