Anyone ever have an issue where the date changes properly around midnight but the day changes later around 4AM? I've read that you can fix the date issue by removing and replacing the hands at the new 12:00 position but I can't find any info about day and date changes becoming out of sync.

Movements are tough and reliable. Bracelets are shitty. Suspect quality control. The bezels don't click. You have to adjust the date windows by winding the hands between midnight and 09:45pm. Basically, you get what you pay for.

The SKX as sold is only good if you actually care about ISO dive watch certification, as it makes compromises in terms of movement, bracelet quality and cosmetic QC to hit that price.
I spent quite a bit extra to upgrade mine to a 6r15, a sapphire crystal, and have someone make sure the bezel/chapter ring/dial alignment were perfect. To me it was worth it as the SKX design is one of the very few divers I like, but don't fool yourself into thinking the stock SKX doesn't make significant compromises to hit its target price.
Is this appropriate for every day wear?
