How's college going, anons?

How's college going, anons?
Did you finish your assignments for the next week?

Summer holidays here on the south. But tomorrow I'll go back to work on my thesis.
Working on the design of an antenna to be used on 5G phones. Still have to go through a lot of papers and designs.

No

I don't get any assignments, barely get any homework either.

Writing my resume. Going to a job fair next week. Nervous as fuck.

>they fell for the college meme

already have my degree. feelsgoodman

Graduated in September. Moving to a new state to start my first "real" job in 3 weeks or so. I'm terrified about screwing it up but also excited about having a fresh start. Biggest problem right now is I'm close to broke so the next few months will be tough. Best of luck to people still studying or looking for work.

Found the NEET

I was a comp sci major a few years ago. Dropping out of that shit was the best thing I've ever done. Currently going back to school but in a completely different field of study. Still like talking to compsci roommates about computers and stuff but would never want to do it as a career desu.

Give me microprocessor based project ideas pls. We are going to use a very old (intel 8085) microprocessor.

Semester starts on Tuesday, going for Networking. I hope I'm not making a huge mistake.

Graduated last spring in CNC Programming

Nigga, I already have my masters, already 3 years in the industry. Never gonna return to academics, except maybe some short postgrad later on to work on my qualifications (if learning on my own win't suffice).

how far in advance did you start applying before your graduation date?

I want to start applying but I don't graduate until May

Instead of assignments and a couple of courses, we have a huge semester project, every semester.

Making good progress in my SLAM implementation just now. Semester 2 Week 2 starts tomorrow, and we're expected to show off what we were able to complete last semester on our whole-year project.

It's nice getting interesting projects.

Make a game console that loads up stuff from an SD card or something on boot.

Pretty well. I'm three years in and I secured an internship starting in less than 3 months.
>Did you finish your assignments for the next week?
n-no...

Any work experience?

Don't be nervous- job fairs are the perfect opportunity to finally get some real world experience and make that resume stand out

>doing EE
>have 3 exams next week
>and another 2 in the week after that
>mfw I'm a brainlet

Should have taken CS instead

Keep at it user, if you end up succeeding you'll come out better at the other end then if you took CS.

>europoors are still writing in asm instead of using high level languages
makes sense

Hasn't even started yet. Not looking forward to this semester. Assembly, Discrete and Calc 2.

looks like a dream major to me, but i cant do it cuz i suck at maths

>semester begins in 2 days
>taking calc 2
>took calc 1 a few years ago and dont remember anything from it
how screwed am i. im also taking a data structures and algorithms class so i assume im going to have work out the ass

Europoors are too busy teaching muhammed how to do their jobs

>Have to do spoken assignment
>Flu
Fuck.

t. amerimutt

I started signing up to some alerts for grad positions about 12 months in advance and applied for the one I got in March, so roughly 6 months ahead. I'd start now if I were you. Big places that do grad programs usually hire 6 - 12 months before the actual start date. Smaller places are more flexible. It's not the end of the world if you don't get a job before graduation but it's a good motivator for pushing through those last couple of semesters.

Eth zürich?

t. jealous Europoor with an America-complex

how's socialism treating you?

>college

Classes don't start until the 27th
>tfw could've taken winter classes but fucked up.

University of Manchester

>56%

graduating in 5 months with CS degree
>0 work experience
>0 internships
>0 networking (no friends)
its over for me, idk why I even try. Even normies with gender studies degrees that work at McDonalds are more employable than I will be. please tell me there is someone here that has been in a similar situation and has been able to find success.

>online coursework requires Adobe Flash™
WHY DO THEY DO THIS

I did the first week of reading assignments. But I already have an undergraduate degree, and the degree I’m working on now is nothing tech or Sup Forums related

I'm about to fail out of college
I lost all my motivation and drive to do well and show up to class last semester
It took me an hour to get out of bed this morning after sleeping for 12 hours

i made an android game in my free time. took it to a job fair and showed it around, it impressed people and got me an interview. showed the game in the interview some more and got hired.

Somewhere I read that NASA made an AI to design optimal antennas that humans

>4 of your best years wasted and cant grok webdev
top cuck

If it makes you feel any better, my University still uses Java for their online Math courses.

Semester doesn't start until the end of the month for me.

funny part is that in American schools we learn both

im gay

something will come your way user, i've seen amazingly shit programmers and people with no real tangible skills get jobs, you're vastly more employable than someone with a gender studies degree

Pretty good. Done with all my exams, and the semester only starts in February

you chose the wrong degree user. any user that still don't have a degree, choose EE instead a meme CS

No, 'cause I'm a fucking retard. I fucked myself out of the co-op program with a bad year, which screwed my grades. I should have looked for an internship on my own...but I didn't, so that's on me. At least I got my GPA back up to a 3.5, though.

I do have a relatively significant open source contribution (large new feature to a fairly popular project), and a few personal projects, though.

I have an exam tomorrow.

>tfw doing cs from home
This is the most comfy life.

I am choosing both lel
I mean my local university has litterally "Electrical Engineering with Computer Science"

I tried going to college years ago. First to a university and then a community college a couple of years later. Dropped out of both since I couldn't keep my grades up because I'm a dumb lazy unmotivated person and couldn't bring myself to really try at all.

I've had a low paying "job" for nearly 10 years now and no skills at all. I wouldn't mind getting a decent paying job but I'm too lazy and scared to put forth an effort to do so.

I'm returning to CC, gonna take another crack at CS. Truthfully though I don't even know why I should bother. I'm 25 and if I'm lucky I'll be 30 when I have a BS. I'm at the point where I literally hate people, don't even want to leave my house let alone interact or be around anyone. Honesty feel like I'm wasting my time because I think I'm either not gonna find a job or I'll have to move and live somewhere I don't want to live just to get a chance.

I'm in my second semester doing "networking with emphasis on security". It's been pretty neat so far. My advice is don't get stuck doing something if you don't like it. Got some people in a few of my classes that hate every minute of it. Don't be that guy.

Good luck though user!

>Don't be that guy.

Starting my 2nd semester of grad school after quitting my old job to go back to school and I’m hyped:
>Mechanics of Robotic Manipulators
>Varible Mass Dynamics
>Human Spaceflight Operations
>Nonlinear Controls

I just finished the first one of my finals, probably the worst exam I ever done.

Also the other thing is that after 7 years of higher education I now only have 14 weeks left, I'm fucking thrilled.

>tfw CE
>final exam of semester today
wish me luck guys

>Taylor series
>logarithms and limits
>gate diagram for Cout=A&B+Cin&(A+B) in a ripple adder
>assembly
>FET
>pumping lemma
>Turing machine

>impressive

Brainlet plz

...

Graduated two years ago, dropped out of masters a year ago, been employed a year since this month actually, feels wonderful getting paid well to do what you like.

>both
>three things listed
American education.

Except I drive and prefer manual.

I have an exam next week (analytical chemistry) then another exam the week after that (intro to electronics)
After that a week of holiday then I will choose my thesis main material (matsci). Onward to 6th and 7th semesters!

Both? There are three examples in this photo....

I'm on Summer vacations and going for my last year.
I'm glad I got a internship for this year that hopely will become my future job.

passed all non-cs subjets. now waiting for networking, oop, and databases. haven't felt so alive since highschool. also, can't wait for intro to eyyyy ayyyy.

you don't need luck if you attended all lectures, senpai.

>taylor series
>lmao big o
>random screenshots of the first 4 chapters of sipser
that shit is first year material in burgerland as well

user I know the feeling all too well, what I did was ditch alcohol and soda, picked back up running and pushup/situps, buried my Windows drive so no gaymes, changed my major to something I actually want to do, and called up my ex to start hanging out with a girl again and get the normie drive back somewhat. Depression is a war user, keep fighting the good fight.

College drop out here.

Made 70k$ on cryptocurrencies so far. Probably will retire in 3-5 years to costa rica or Vietnam.

Got out of the jew game, wish you all luck :)

$70k won't sustain you into your 60s, dumbass.

That would be awesome. Designing antennas is a pain in the ass and anything can go wrong to the point of having you rethink the whole project.

Welcome to Costa Rica user

College dropout here

Just got a job at Google making 132k at 22

College is a meme

Same here, user. No exams incoming and I've finished a ton of assignements.

>70k$
>will retire in 3-5 years
By "retire" I hope you mean that you plan on retiring the shit that you use for brains.

Hey stupid, you're making it look like the gram isn't the base mass measurement with that picture. At least learn how to use your own goddamn standards.

It's still January you fucking idiot. No one in the civilized world goes to university or college until March.

*kilogram

>Hey stupid, you're making it look like the gram isn't the base mass measurement with that picture
Holy shit, Americans are THAT retarded. Saving this picture for later.

It's meters, seconds, Newtons, and kilograms.

>How's college going, anons?
>Did you finish your assignments for the next week?

I failed my computability class. Haven't told anyone. Feels bad man.
