Would you buy a used keyboard, Sup Forums?

Would you buy a used keyboard, Sup Forums?
Pic related was $5 bucks.

im not touching thateven if you payed me the full price user

You payed $5 for that shit?
Jesus fucking christ user.
Go to goodwill, they have keyboards in way better condition for $5

The equivent to using someone else's cumrag.

wait a sec... is that a membrane keyboard? holly fuck user, youve been ripped off big time!

I would that keyboard.
It is the best membrane keyboard ever produced.

Keyboard general then. Got this for $20 about a month ago. It's everything I paid for and more. Also heavy enough you could probably injure someone with it.

I have a cardboard box a computer case came in. 8 or 10 keyboards in it that I've picked up at Goodwill for (usually) $3 per, just because they were so cheap I have them on hand as spares or giveaways when I help friends & family out. I only pick up ones that are in top condition or new (yes, half of them came in original plastic, sealed bags). Looking around my office at he moment, running 5 computers for various reasons, all those keyboards also are Goodwill specials, with the exception of one wireless Logitech I bought new so I had one mobile keyboard.

tl;dr - Yes. But I'm not a fucking retard about it. $5 is pretty expensive, unless it's an unusual keyboard.

I cleaned it out with a few q-tips and wiped off all the keys with disinfecting wipes. Good as new! Or at least, 10x cleaner than my last keyboard was before its unfortunate incident with a bottle of water.

Is it? Well now I feel much better about my purchase.

Why did you buy a rubber dome keyboard that was used when you could of just bought a new one for the same price?

yeah i cleaned mine the other month, it was amazing how well the things stand the test of time. hell, i used it to chat up my wife.

>buying new
consumerism is bad and goes against commie free software principles

kys fat fuck you can literally buy new keyboards for 6 USD

wow you saved 3 dollars and probably got a couple diseases from it

I bet that doesn't even glow in the dark

If it were a mech that I really wanted, for a really low price, and could be completely disassembled so I can sterilize everything.

If they watched porn with it, I'm not buying it. I wouldn't even take it for free. I don't want to touch someone's bodily fluids potentially containing sexually-transmitted diseases.

Would you buy used underwear? Depends who used it

if i would want to research and cultivate new unknown and dangerous types of bacteria
yes absolutely

>chink shit
>USB
Disgusting

no because i know what im doing with mine and some people might be doing the sme

>buying trash for 5 bucks

this is super unsanitary

actually not such a good deal for $5

enjoy your hand cancer

ah the shiniest turd argument
at the end of the day, it is still a turd

...you can buy brand new rubberdomes for $5 ya dork.

can yous hare the link? It looks nicesu

>Would you buy a used keyboard, Sup Forums?
Yes. I bought a box full of old vintage keyboards for $10. It had some model m keyboards, and a few others that I've never heard of. Oh one had cherry black switches that I hate, but some people might be into them.
The first thing I did was clean them all with rubbing alcohol, and I do that every time I look through the box.

> pays for broken shit
lmao americans

I get perfectly working keyboards for free, but I'm also living in a civilized country.

No and i got a new mechanical one from amazon for around 4 bucks

>I get perfectly working keyboards for free, but I'm also living in a civilized country
What's it like living like absolute royalty user? Getting all those free keyboards, and shit. You could probably build a castle!

My daily driver is an Apple Extended Keyboard II
Literally grabbed it out of an e-waste dump, bought an iMate converter for $25 (they're $60 now kek)
Also got a free box of computer parts on CL with three Model Ms, cleaned them all up but I still prefer the AEKII for its better key rollover and command key functioning as a Windows key

Aa it's a Japanese keybord. you have to use chipsticks to learn it. But it's worth it because I'm a self-hating westerner.

>Thinks PS2 is better
Wow user you sure are a bright one, bet you overpaid for a model m too

PS/2 literally is better for keyboards you idiot

i just took the keycaps off so i could clean it and take a cute picture for Sup Forums

Bought a used mechanical keyboard from an Indian friend for 5€ because he was leaving the country and didn't need extra shit to take with him
It was TVS Bharat Gold with blue cherry switches, after I spent more than an hour cleaning the keyboard thoroughly from 2 years of hair and crumbs it was pretty fine, other than being in non ANSI layout and having a very short ps/2 cable

Put the keys back on then and see how it looks.
I was partly disgusted because I assumed you bought a keyboard without any keys. If it does have keys though it may not be as bad as I thoughy

Does it smell of indian food?
Whenever I'd borrow from or leave something at a friend from Pakistan's house, it always smelled.

I had already done all of that when I made the first post. Pictures of a normal clean keyboard aren't terribly interesting though.

I use the same keyboard at work (without the card reader). Even if it's a rubber dome, it's pretty good.

Warehouses/offices throw those keyboards out all the time, in way better condition

Hahahaha 5 bucks Hahahaha. Moron.

I have the same keyboard as a spare - spare. I got mine at goodwill. Like $3. lol. I like it fine.

It smelled of fuckall when I washed it in isopropyl

Honest toughts here OP, it has a smart card reader, which is super useful in enterprises. It has a decent key feel and if you can find decent caps, you'll have a great keyboard.
Think about it like this, cherry keyboards with smartcard integration used to cost an arm and a leg.
You did alright

>$5 bucks.
fucking hell get your money back

I'm really craving for a nice mechanical keyboard, anons. Which one
preferably from aliexpress
would you recommend?

...

If it's some cool ancient keyboard, sure.
I would never buy a used membrane keyboard for $5 though, that's asinine.

>if you can find decent caps
How do you do that? I mean, there aren't any form of standards for membrane keyboard keycaps.

How old are you bro?

Did you Retr0bright the keyboard?

Any signs of yellowed reversion?

No you fucking retard, there are some things you should not touch if not your own, keyboard is one of them.
