Did I do good? Will be putting this together myself for every day use like streaming and gaming. Stuff like Pubg, CS:GO and ASSFAGGOTS.
>will be gaming on a 1440p 60hz monitor >120gb ssd is for windows, other ssd is for my games (don't have many). any downloading will go onto a 2tb external >should I spring for 16gb ram instead of 8gb? >not sure if the cpu is good enough (I dont plan on overclocking) >I went with the 1060 6gb as people seem to think at 1440p you need the extra memory headroom >I don't care about MAXXING ULTRA SETTINGS. just at least 60fps at medium or so settings will do fine >prices are in AU$ >im open to cutting costs, like if amd cpu counterpart is just as good but cheaper i'd be happy to go with amd
You want a 1070 for 1440p. you might at well get 16gb ram, and why 2 ssd? Just Get 1 500gb and a 1tb for gaymes. Just go ryzen, you won't need an aftermarket cooler if you go with a 1600/1700 Also >>>/pcbg/

swap one of those SSDs for a HDD of much higher capacity

if you want 60fps at medium at very least for 1440p I did have a wishlist going you could look at. for the price and performance compared to say an i5 7600k that I am also considering this should give you bang for the buck and have headroom for streaming your vidya.

au.pcpartpicker.com/list/9zGz8K >go 8th gen for Intel, it's a reasonable step-up from 7th gen >shouldn't need a liquid cooler if you're not overclocking >no reason to get 2 SSDs, stick with one SSD (960 evo is fast as too) and put the rest of your shit on a 2tb internal (don't use an external - insanely slower speeds and good luck installing anything) >16gb memory a good >since you're only going for medium settings, 1060 should do you fine, but if you have the money then go for a 1070 >corsair cx series is dogshit
side note, 8400 might be ok for streaming but an i7 or ryzen 5 would be better instead, idk watch ltt or some shit since you're young :^)

>2 low volume SSD's >2133Mhz RAM >8GB RAM >$95 for shit-tier PSU >GTX 1060 for $419 when can get for $300 AUD >Intel 7th Gen >Liquid Cooling on locked processor
Buy a prebuilt it's cheaper. You can get a GTX 1080 and 16GB DDR4 1 x SSD and 1 x HDD etc for 1500-1600 bucks.
