What do you think about the microsoft-ification of linus?

what do you think about the microsoft-ification of linus?

Linus is a saint and can do no wrong

i get depressed as fuck looking at the people at IT trade shows.

Microsoft wants to support developers. Because they lost the fight with oss, the logical step is to accommodate it. Azure is a platform for virtualizing Linux, Bash and other tools are in WSL, better git is also coming. Embrace, Extend, not sure how they are going to Extinguish it.
Muh M$ loves open source. Developers love open source, M$ loves having client-base.

Linux won

Look man, I just want ActiveDirectory to have Linux support already. I'd like to put my work computer on our domain so I can stream Twitch but as of now the only solution is using 3rd party software to do it. And open source or not, I don't trust it not to fuck up the domain.

So fuck it, I hope Linus buddies up to someone at Microsoft and they open up AD a bit.

If he were good, he wouldn't go fot the soyboy monolithic design.

Fucking this.

Though LDAP and kerberos are already there. But group policy makes me happy...

microsoft is transitioning to a cloud service company
soon windows will be a linux distro with it's own de

I wish, but they'd never drop the NT kernel in favor of the Linux kernel.

Linux is actually shit compared to NT.

Linus is a false prophet
