I don't get it

I don't get it.

Why do people put milk or sugar into their coffee/tea?

It tastes just fine plain. I'm not even trying to be edgy. What's your deal?

Used to hate black coffee tbqh but now I can't drink it any other way

>he dissolves his coffee in water
>not eating it with a spoon

The sugar neutralizes the bitterness and the milk makes it taste fuller and creamier. Coffee can be good by itself but you can add more ingredients to make it better.

You are me, m8. Used to use a couple sugar cubes but now it just tastes like shit unless it's black

>neutralizes the bitterness

bitterness != gross

I'll usually have hot coffee black, and iced coffee with cream and sugar.

kek I fucking do this before going for a run, eat that shit like cereal

milk has that effect, sugar only enhances the bitterness

t. black coffee is good, coffee with milk is okay, black coffee with sugar is pig disgusting

i like all coffee unless it's over sugared starbucks shit

If I drink instant coffee, I use sugar and milk to mask the horrible taste. But if it's freshly brewed from whole bean coffee, I'll drink it neat and strong.

People just haven't tried it that way, they stick to what they are comfortable with.
Seriously though I went black 2 years ago, and the sole idea of sugar in my coffee makes me gag now.
Well unless it has some hazelnut and it's iced cold.

>now it just tastes like shit unless its black
>seriously though I went black 2 years ago

>When you go black...
You should try with some maple syrup from time to time.

Captcha Starbuck coffee storefronts

you and me are one, brother

>~50+ year old parents need milk to drink it
>i'm 22 and love it black
