raspberry pi for main computer?
how can you use that for your daily driver

>he spent more than nothing on his computer

>install distro of your choice
>external GPU if you need it
>Google Unlimited storage for free film and photo backups off site

>external GPU on a RaspPi
For what purprose? It's not like any of your games will work on it.

>games
You have to be 18 to post here, I mean CAD programs

There is literally a game icon in your image

>he doesn't have an m.2 ssd
>He has to wait for his programs to load like a cuck

>Being poor

please tell me this is a terrible meme and I didn't just waste $160 on a thinkpad

>implying
I got mine for free

my Class 4 microSD is solid state too!

running CAD on an Arm Processor with 512MB of RAM.
LOL GOOD LUCK

Like woah

How do you even put an eGPU on a RasPi?

It's a terrible meme, and you made the correct choice with a think pad.

Your ThinkPad is portable and can run processing circles around the Pi's piddly ARM. It can run regular x86 software too, not just the relatively few specially compiled ones for ARM.

Hello shill

Can you poorfags get a fucking job already? Spend less time shitposting on Sup Forums and maybe you wouldn't have to buy 90$ toys.

>ChinkPads

Sup Forums's favourite meme.

>swap

my main computer is a raspberry pi going on 6 months now
it can't play 10 bit/ h265 video
it can play reasonably high bitrate 1080 h264 which is frankly impressive and mostly good enough
it can't play even 720 youtube
theres no good music player for it
it can't transfer to my fiio x1 without corrupting files
the sound output is TERRIBLE although you can get a good soundcard for it
it freezes if you try and load a photo above 4000x4000 in the web browser
it can't really handle more than a few tabs
it freezes on some heavy websites
it's completely silent which is nice
it can't power more than 1 usb storage device at a time
Raspbian is a slick OS, my first time linux, and it's easy as fuck

It's just not really quite good enough for general web browsing but not awful.
You could not work on it.
It's perfect for shitposting & watching moobies

It's good enough for me.

Spend 100 bucks on a used office HP Desktop, i7 Processor & 16GB Memory. Hmmm.

>iphoneposter
>he spent 10 times as much on his shitty phone than on a desktop
toddlers, man.

This seems to be my experience with the device too when it comes to doing normie shit. Simply get a better SBC like an ASUS Tinker Board or a Beaglebone.

If you can manage to create a custom laptop case with a Udoo x86 Ultra and an oversized battery in it, then you essentially have a better MemePad.

On my desktop, yes, but the laptop I just bought was only $55

change the memory split for more video memory and your browser should be able to display higher resolution pictures

I used a pi as a main pc out of convenience because it was always on as a server and with screen and keyboard it was easier than pulling out my laptop and waiting for it to boot /decrypt. The biggest issue is the ram and the general slow speed which will stop you from using it for everything. You could if you had to but it needs to be upgraded and tweaked to make that happen.

pis are great but they work best in conjunction with other computer. My laptop is pretty weak pos too but it's way more usable when I can offload large downloads, torrents, and compression and services like syncthing to my pi

raspberry 2 or 3 ?

Thinkpads are genuinely good tho

>Thinkpads are genuinely good tho
Not as good as Prestigio SmartBook 133s is.

Not the old used ones that this board loves to shill. The high end Thinkpads are quality, but they're too expensive for what you actually get when it comes to specs. See that Retro shit thing for reference.

I have one for less, and screen is not a computer.

And if somebody has lower resolution, you force him buying computer. I really don't see unreal engine 4 being done for pentium 3

*screen

what is this computer? more info?

>knowing what a game icon looks like

>he owns a computer
>he knows what a computer is
Get with the times, grandpa.

...

>computers
>not a waste of time
>being so handicapped you can't even get anything done without some machine holding your hand

21st centuries humanlets, everyone. They're not even able to not starve if there isn't someone else producing their food. Let alone do some simple computations without a "computer".

Fucking bipeds with mollusc brains.

>much anarcho-primitivism

nice computer you have there. how about you tell us how you built you chip fab.

ITT: Sup Forums vs neo-Sup Forums

>he spent more than $89 on a computer

>he spent more than $99 on a computer

I have to. I want to go into 3D animation, but I can't really do that on a $99 computer.

>he spent more than $50 on a computer
>And it's full of proprietary software

what wm is that

>He didn't spend 4000 on his laptop
poorfag spotted.

Fear not young faggot, Thinkpad is the correct choice.

Wallpape pls

>3D animation
don't do it user. Please I don't know and you don't know me, but your work will be replaced by AI.
