Haha!

Haha!

They take ages to fix the serious drawbacks their software has that draws most users away from it, but at least they have these cute silly little things that make it totally worth it LOL!

>linux is shit and its developers waste time with retarded unfunny jokes instead of making it less shit

>he thinks aptitude is Linux

Do you even know what a computer is?

This is the mentality that prevents you freetards from getting shit done.

Excusing yourselves, assigning blame. "That is not my responsibility, it's someone else's fault!"

This is not how anything professional is done. No wonder you struggle with achieving professional quality.

lmao that filepicker has been "someone else's problem" for ages now

OP, does your mental condition make you eligible for disability in your country?

Not OP but I think being a freetard like you may be in my country.

Not a freetard, but thanks for the assumption.

I can tell you're a very pleasant person with no obvious mental or emotional issues.

Imagine being so booty-blasted that people use a superior OS than you whine about easter eggs.

I'm glad you feel superior for using your little toy memeOS.

Looks like I hit a nerve.

What filepicker? You mean the gtk one that Firefox etc invokes when you browse for files?

What exactly are you complaining about?

but it has a nice logo!

There is product a and product b
Product b is meant to work on top of product a but is in no way affiliated
Product b sucks
"LUUUUL FUCK PRODUCT A"

>the """professional""" doesn't know how to delegate, what a team is, or that products can be unaffiliated despite being in the same domain

All I hear is excuses for a very simple job that could be done in a couple of hours not getting done in under 14 years.

>something that took them 1 minute to write
>vs
>something that would take them weeks - months to fix
great bread user please never post again

If it takes you months or even weeks to implement filepicker thumbnails, might as well just go ahead and KYS yourself.

Linux really does have serious drawbacks. It's like if Windows were way worse but you could potentially fix everything if you knew everything but you don't and some things are still and always will be shots in the dark

If you're too much of a brainlet to know the difference between Linux and GNOME, then you should off yourself.

See

Will you be blaming microsoft if Java suddenly fails to update? No, you won't since Java is owned by oracle and Windows is owned by Microsoft and they're completely different organizations. In linux, this applies even to the DE level. Stop being a fucking retard.

>when you complain about free software and choose not to contribute
Kys

>damn, Flash is shit, fuck Microsoft
This is you.

GNOME retards have little to no affiliation with the kernel developers.

You morons will fight over anything.

but that's how things are done at Linux: a bunch of shit made by different people just glued together, and of course it's unprofessional, those people often do it for free.
This is related to the Unix philosophy.
But yeah, your argument is relevant when talking about those big company distros like Ubuntu or Fedora. These ought to be professional.

>But yeah, your argument is relevant when talking about those big company distros like Ubuntu or Fedora. These ought to be professional.
Canonical doesn't own the GNOME DE, m8.

yeah I know, but they aren't a bunch of neckbeards, they're a professional company who should be concerned about quality of the software they distribute.

Maybe I should say this again. Canonical doesn't own a big chunk of the software that they use for their distro. Best they could do is to use a version that is stable for their environment.

So have you all Linux users (including the developers - assuming they eat their own dog food) just been putting up with the crappy filepicker all these years?

>All Linux Users
>Crappy Filepicker
Nah. KDE users don't have that problem. Linux is great regardless and even though I don't use GNOME, I appreciate it's efforts in making Linux more accessible. Linux is comfy as fuck in 2018; get over yourself.

Linux dev here, fuck graphical filepickers anyways; just use mc from a terminal...

How can you use mc/ranger/etc as your file picker?

All extensions are associated to viewing/editing apps, logical directory arrangement, command-line comfort (don't have to guess what icons represent, etc.)

>So have you all Linux users (including the developers - assuming they eat their own dog food) just been putting up with the crappy filepicker all these years?
Wasn't it already mentioned that DEs and file managers themselves are just another program or set of programs that can be replaced with an alternative? KDE exists. Try using your brain for once.

shit bait
neck yourself
sage

>serious drawbacks
>that draws most users away
I'm trying to parse this. Who writes like this? Why are UK fags so passive about everything?

...
...wut?
I do not understand this answer at all.

these cute little things took at worst 20 minutes to implement

>This is not how anything professional is done.
Redhat too expensive for you?

increase your icon size you dingus

Simply that you can do everything and more than a filepicker provides via a CLI too....

Never had the problem. I use KDE. All the bad shit retards like you spread about Linux is false. Just shut up, admit Linux is not for you and go back to being a winfag.

But how do I pick out my favourite pepe pics from Firefox using CLI?

stop shilling against linux! we are losing sales!

who even uses aptitude anymore? apt and dpkg can do everything that is needed

Deal with it.

> he is physically unable to post a screenshot without *fetch
The absolute state of r/unixporn

Are you alright user? Your responses seem unrelated to the original question. Are you having a stroke?

I don't keep crap that's irrelevant. If I do keep crap, I keep it in a logical directory structure. If I had to depend on a graphcal file chooser, I'd rely on KDE/dolphin, but i don't.

It's a question of knowing wnat you're doing, how you're doing it, and what tools work for you.

If you have problems with that lin eof thought, then lo siento, amigo...
