I have the same problem and tracked most of what is happening. Something is happening with Google's fallback API and loading the image payload.
Almost 99% of the time, the image does not load and once it does, it will say that you're verified once you complete it, but it won't save it.
There is nothing wrong with my filters as checked my logs with uBO/uMatrix. It could be a problem with 4chanX, but I doubt it.
