I wish someone would make a guide to building an A E S T H E T I C window manager.

I just don't have the time to plow though it all.

This is the only correct answer

FVWM

Budgie.

"The best" is a personal preference. For example, I'm a 90's kid, so I manage to keep my xfce set-up to look like a modernized version of os9. I also have one that looks like AmigaOs. But whatever floats your boat...

how did you get it to look like that?

I used:

>menubar: vala-appmenu (build from git)
>wm-theme: rhapsodized-micro by pong (deviantart.com)
>gtk: murrina aquaish (in murrina-themes for gtk2 and xfce in repos)
>icons: elementary-add-osx
>font: chicago (google os9 chicago fonts)
>wallpaper is attached, set to tile.
>xfce-weather-app mono icons (google this)

the bottom bar is just xfce4 panel with icons.

Lxde with Chicago 95

>aesthetic?
CDE ofc

FVWM emulates the classic motif style of MWM/CDE, but has full EWMH support, and can be customized to do anything else you want.

What is this?

IceWM is pretty shit tier, so it can be aesthetic

>wm
Openbox after some theming
>de
Xfce after some theming and removing the bottom panel

Should I install a different distro?

you should do what you want, and stop thinking in be a g meme man

>>lit af
>>Manjaro

How do we stop the eternal Henry?

I personaly use bspwm, but only because I am too dumb to setup dwm as I would like it.
Can someone tell me if it is even possible for dwm to automaticaly tile windows in such ways that bspwm does it?
