What's new in Visual Studio 2017? Is it worth upgrading from 2015? I'm talking about the community version.
What's new in Visual Studio 2017?

Which language ? The C++ compiler is better and produces much smaller executables which is always good.

I was gonna ask about C++.

how is xamarin in 2017 compared to 2015?

Better support for ASP.NET Core.
A far better project file structure that doesn't constantly fuck up versioning.
I like Xamarin, I really do, but why not just make your app in native code instead?

Yeah but even the C/C++ IDE is somewhere around several gb. VS Code is a lot better, unless you're looking for a full fledged IDE in which case you're better off switching over to loonix and using any number of text editors that incorporate a built-in terminal

Just go for Ubuntu 16.04. That will be a good way to get ya started.

Don't install gentoo, newfriend. Do some research
Just install Debian, use Builder and never look back.
Enjoy your suboptimal C++ compiler with literal telemetry baked within and a C compiler that isn't even up to date with C99 standard, winuck LOL
is linux really that godly?
