4.2.2.x-pill me

What the fuck is she thinking she is doing there?

>google dns

I use Windows DHCP server with root hints

She is obviously instructing people how to bypass a Twitter block in her cunt, which has been implemented via DNS in her cunt's ISPs.

to then have a filesharing/p2p block?

it's all just so tiresome.

Still better than ISP DNS

>to then have a filesharing/p2p block?
wut? It's for organising political protests, you idiot.

GoogleDNS may be their most benign product. It exsists so that you can make sure your internet works properly, because ISP are notoriously shitty about DNS. They do this because when your internet works properly they can then collect all the data

I'm using the DNS.WATCH because the data retention law was postponed last year
However Merkel might sign this any minute and I'l have to go back to verisign/google dns

I got frontier and the first time you ever get a broken page there's a setting that you change to not show their shitty search site, and then it goes away. I still swap between google and opendns and not use the isp one.

Of course it also tells google every site you visit, including connections made by your OS and installed programs/apps.

And it does this long before NoScript/uMatrix/whatever can try to do something about javascript-based tracking.

What other alternatives are there?

Namebench suggested the best performing DNS servers for me are in this order, so opendns is used.

DNS from your VPN. Mine is based in romania and keeps no logs + has a track record of telling others to fuck off

Opennic

this is a sfw board
give your porn to some other board, it doesn't belong here

Why the fuck do we have SFW boards again?

To make it safe for normie to shitpost during work.

Work?

>No it's fine, I'm posting on a SFW board in a thread filled with smug anime girls, racist jokes and gore, don't worry about it Mr. Johnson

Quad 9

9.9.9.9 or your vpn's automatically assigned dns.

opennicproject.org

why no 9.9.9.9

Now she needs to take her pants off and make note of Google's IPv6 addresses
2001:4860:4860::8888
2001:4860:4860::8844

Those tits are kinda small but would still be fun to tease with a paint brush.

Also I use this which uses quite a few options.

I run my own DNS service. Anything else is peasantry.

>a Twitter block in her cunt
Are you not from an English speaking country? Because I've seen people from Poland saying "cunt" short for country. Don't do that. Cunt means vagina.

>i've never been outside Sup Forums

this

groom your pits properly, you damn hippie

this

I don't need to because my init already has those DNS hardcorded

Thanks for the promotion!

At any given time, the state of those pits are probably better than well over half of all women.

Plus, it's not like you're fucking her, so stop giving a shit.

You should definitely research privacy and intelligence agency in Romania - your data is not private at all, actually contrary - it has a solid, fast, reliable tunnel towards NSA.

so much this

looks like a nice little tool, thanks for mentioning it

This

If you're not using quad 9, enjoy your botnet

disguting roach

because I pay my ISP for this

it's Sup Forums mong speak

>Group Co-founded by City of London Police promises 'no snooping on your requests'
enjoy ur botnet nerds

No. Microsoft DNS 5.0, recursive DNS only
>start at *.root-servers.net

/thread

I too use vpn.ac

I have, my ISP uses a censored DNS.

>I'm a fucking crossboarder

Bookmarking ip adresses instead of domain names

unbound

Because there's no need to post porn while talking about technology, nor Traveling, nor cars, nor transportation, nor origami etc

>not using dnscrypt
it's like you like telling your ISP/NSA/Google your browsing habits.

The majority of websites out there won't even work if you only use the ip address unless of course you set the headers manually.

I did set my DNS

>he limits his experience to one board
must suck being you senpai

Her cunt may be blocked. Who is to say it's not firewalled?

good britbong DNS?

It still has to be decrypted to do the lookup
DNS is the problem
Encrypting it isn't a solution
It's as if everyone had to keep their contacts in the same government run address book
It is a terrible design
The internet isn't decentralized
Block/hack dns, and everything goes down

any more DNS ladies?

Cool tool!

Many internets to you sir, and may the hot labes of the waifu/boifu/sheepfu of your desires wrap thy knob.

Your MI5 record has been updated to reflect your eager shilling. To accrue shillpoints continue your good work here and on Sup Forums.

On a new system and forgot to run name bench and setting it. Thanks for the reminder, user.

I don't care about government. Government agencies have plenty of access to my info regardless of what I do bar living like a caveman. I just need enough that I have peace of mind from my ISP and general legal bullahit

people who prefer googles dns over their ISPs dns are the same people who whined about net neutrality repeal. YOU are the ISPs customer, but your are Google's product, their customer is someone they sell your data to. Who to trust?

lifewire.com/free-and-public-dns-servers-2626062

I use FreeDNS personally

What do you use? Unbound? bind?

dnscrypt-proxy faggots

OpenNIC is run by basement dwellers that track you
Quad9 log your browsing history
You have only watch.dns and freedns or simply use a VPN that run their own dns

This. Your DNS better be 127.0.0.1

>do not use google's DNS! They will track all your net activity!
>use this shady ass DNS instead! It says open/free/libre in the title, that means it's good!

>do not use open/free/libre dns, use the ones provided by the globalcyberalliance and london police

What about this one?
dnscrypt.nl/

you don't even need dnscrypt client.

isn't Quad9 a literal honeypot funded by the Police?

...

What are you hiding?

github.com/bitbeans/SimpleDnsCrypt/releases

This is 100x better than (((pi-hole)))

>not using pfsense

I'm a lazy faggot

The automatically assigned FiOS DNS in my router are both faster and more reliable than the google botnet.

so we are supposed to trust randos on the internet as opposed to google or ISP?

this also anycast is hosted by a literal furfag how can I trust that guy with anything?

unbound

>or ISP
well thats easy, ISPs are usually jewish and poison dns records with generic error search pages filled with ads

i can only tell you i dont have issues with opennic serving me bad responses. you should always use https when connecting to sites anyway, because thats really the only thing you should trust for website authenticity

...

I use pi-hole with Quad9

no google please

FiOS DNS is great. But Panera and Starbux block meh Sup Forums. Even open vpn cant save me so I use comodo dns.

Chaos Computer Club DNS

dnscrypt?

Dnscrypt + unbound bro

what's the difference between this and normal DNScrypt?

>why haven't you changed your DNS, Sup Forums?
Laziness. It is also why I haven't switched from Chrome. I really want to, but it seems really complicated.
Paranoia. Even if someone were to spoonfeed me, I don't want to risk my computer to any new software that could potentially be exploited.

>software
>dns

switch to chromium and it will import everything.
I uninstalled my backup browser chrome the other day when i realized it was scanning my computer for malware and using 20% cpu

Sorry, I just assumed pihole was a software given the GUI in these threads.
>switch to chromium
What about Iridium or unGoogle'd chromium?
>I uninstalled my backup browser chrome
>It was scanning my computer for malware and using 20% cpu
I have never had this happen to me, probably because I am extra cautious with my uBO and uMatrix settings.

>unGoogle'd chromium
too inconvenient for me, I use firefox nightly as my main anyway
>>It was scanning my computer for malware and using 20% cpu
there is a file in your appdata that runs occasionally

to me, google is a random company.
My ISP is random as well, it got selected for it's service and price, not for its trustworthyness.

That is weird; I've never seen a chrome process taking up more than 3% of my CPU besides when I am viewing a stream.
Was it listed as a chrome process?
