What software does Sup Forums actually pay for or donate to?

People who pirate software other than Windows: stay the fuck out. If you actually install pirated apps potentially filled with malware that you use every day to your phone just to avoid paying $1 you need to rethink your entire life. This thread is for people with income and finding out what they think is actually worth paying for.

I bought and paid for Linux

I am actually the one(1) person that paid €30 for winrar

You must be new here. Now leave.

AnyDVD
ESET NOD32

Subscription stuff like this is a pain in the ass to crack.

>paying for (((antivirus)))
the absolute state of nu-Sup Forums

Why is Windows an exception?

Video games.

Parts of the society like YOU which pays for literally shit products is a pain in the ass

How is AnyDVD a shit product?

programmers dont need that $1. they earn thousands dollars every month anyway so it would be stupid to waste my money on donating to them.

I bought an iso of parted magic. Easily the most useful piece of software I’ve ever used

I only buy vidogames that are multiplayer.

because its functionality already exists in form of libdvdcss and libaacs

I remember paying for InSSIDer.

>MakeMKV - $50
>Windows 10 Pro - $140
>Glasswire - $30
>Sony Movie Maker Studio Plus - $40 (essentially Vegas lite)
>Solid Explorer file manager on Android - $3
>SD-Maid Pro on Android - $4
>Nova Launcher - $4
>PSX emulator on Android - $5

I also intend to buy MBAM pro soon. Use it on my PC and my Android device. I also donated $20 to the devs of Truecrypt and 7zip.

>paying for MakeMKV

>Being a fucking leech that just takes takes takes
MakeMKV is the only reliable tool I know of that can break the encryption on Blu-ray discs and easily make a copy. And they're always updating so more discs can be cracked. Only a matter of time before 4K UHD disc encryption is broken too. After using the program free for a month, I figured it was well worth the money.

I have a very very large DVD and Blu-ray collection. The program paid me back in spades.

>taking
They're freely giving it, the beta at least. There is no reason to pay for it unless you want to continue using on an offline system.

Was it worth it?

It's a Beta that needs a new key every 30 days. I donated $20 to Truecrypt and 7zip because I appreciated their efforts for a program I use extensively even though their programs are offered for free. Whats the difference between paying a one time fee after using the useful Beta program for 30 days, or willingly making a donation?

>netflix
>spotify
>some closed api

Basically, only games.
I'd pay for my IDE but my employer pays for it.

i plan on getting the CCleaner bundle that comes with ccleaner recuva speccy and defraggler

Why would I pay for something I can get for free?

>Bundle
Link? How much is it going for?

Free software is usually one or 2 things: halfassed, or a botnet.

That of course doesn't mean that no paid software is botnet (pays to read the privacy policy because it declares if it is there), but your chances of a quality product are better if you actually pay for people to improve it.

ccleaner.com/ccleaner/pro-vs-pro-plus

Its $40 but if you click
> Get CCleaner professional
and not the bundle it will try to get you to buy it and give you $5 off

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up user

>paying for software
>ever
No my problem if youre not smart enough to stay of of trouble. Onde of the reasons that I have money is that i dont trow it out in pointless shit. Intelectual property lmao. Kill yourself.

>libaacs
Not for most recent discs or BD+ discs.

I paid like 11 dollars for some image tagging software I used for a good bit to keep up with my drawn porn

I never bought any software.
Gnu/Linux master race.

Name of said tagging software? Not that I have an ever growing porn collection or anything...

I donated to Gentoo unironically because I like it so much
I also pay for a sketchbook pro subscription because it's probably the best drawing software for mac without all the bloat that photoshop comes with. I was sad to find out that krita is practically useless on macOS because of the way macOS implements opengl, or something.

Steam games, and that's about it. I pirated Sublime Text 3. There's no malware, since it's just the official Sublime Text with a leaked key.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as piracy, is in fact, unauthorized copying, or as I've recently taken to calling it, unauthorized sharing. Piracy is not the act of obtaining an unauthorized copy of a copyrighted work, but rather robbery or criminal violence at sea.

Many computer users make unauthorized copies every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the act which is widely performed today is often called piracy, and many of the people who do it are not aware that it is basically copying, and not stealing.

There really is a piracy, and some people are doing it, but it is just robbery at sea. Piracy is an act of theft: an action at sea in which goods are forcefully transferred from one ship to another. Piracy is important to be aware of, but unrelated to unauthorized copying; it can only function at sea. Piracy is normally not used in combination with unauthorized copying: the two acts are basically seperate. All the so-called piracy is really unauthorized copying.

Paid for Capture One 11

if I had money, I'd probably pay for some of the semi-free software I use daily to encourage development. xnview, winrar, pdf xchange viewer. I'm broke af atm though.

I'd also donate to the guy who made testdisk and photorec because the guy deserves a lifetime pension paid for by the king. his software is a true lifesaver.
and the recuva ppl

Can it decode Blu-Ray?
