Music Taste Progression

Can we get one of these threads going?

Here's the template.

Feel free to change the ages if certain ages are more relevant for you.

when will you grow into jazz and classical ?

Jazz has never been a favourite of mine but I do like it and will randomly put it on. I appreciate classical for its complexity but I'll very rarely listen to it. So....maybe in my 40s-50's?

Might as well bump it

holy shit your taste never improved

>tripfag is pseudointelligent avant teen
in other news water is wet

got that right

I can see why you like that Incubus album. Some of the songs definitely have a drum and bass groove to them.

...

kek

Not sure if I'd really noticed that before to be honest. I like most of their albums but Make Yourself sticks out to me as my favourite overall, possibly for best vocals/lyrics.

Nice choice bottom of first column :^)

Wow, that was a dramatic change in your late teens.

these threads always show that Sup Forums is full of underages pretending they know music

who care

nice taste

this whole thread is a meme

...

...

How odd is mine

I used to love Keane and Muse, now they just don't appeal to me so much

Nice

18-20 albums are best by far

eww

good one

Nice metal

...

I think i've made a coherent progression...

you wish

????

not enough

Your taste is all over the place - there's good stuff here and there but also shit and then it just goes total crap at the end.

It's rare to see taste this fucking bad. What a sight.

more like grow out of

that is pretty patrish honestly

>implying you listened to carol five fucking years ago
i call bullshit

>classical only
Oh, you were that kid.

You're but a wee young patrish. Wide rangi NH tastes. I approve.

i don't believe that you listened to leonard cohen when you were 11, sorry. or you spend your childhood as an outcast.

Whats hard to believe?
That my dad collected vinyl and I listened to his albums?
Same with the first row, a lot of what I listened to from 6-10 was my grandad's and my dad's collections

I hate the people on this fucking board

it's definitely been interesting

noice
pls no bully

rate my life

bumping this thread, it is good

love you
also on that raincoats grind at age 18

...

lollllll is this real
if so i love it

yes very real. grew up religious

That probably applies to most people on Sup Forums to be honest.

garbage taste my whole life

prob woulda been friends with you in middle school/high school/college

my dream growing up was to own that smash mouth album

saw la femme last year--v good live

garbage posting skills, too

good taste rn
decent
fave progression 2bh, outsider house is some dope shit

jesus christ

pretty shit huh?

I progressed from "good music" to "good music"

One million hours in paint.

You've got some dank shit in your 11-17 pics.

+Pavement and Bad Religion

>all of you were kids when you found ...Endtroducing, I was like 21

I'm not an old geezer like you, OP

too bad i had to leave out a lot of shit due to this tiny ass template

forgot pic

endtroducing.... is what helped open me up to listening to new music as a kid. holding a place forever in my heart because of that.

my brother had still be showing me a little bit of music here and there, but the only one I really liked was entroducing.

It was Unknown Pleasures and Loveless personally. Disorder and Only Shallow literally blew my mind the first listen and I can still remember it like yesterday.

>heard disorder a few times over speakers
>put in headphones first time
>hear that faint synth in the background
>mindblownsecondtime.jpg

...

>death grips

lol

I'm proud of myself

hihihih :)

your progress makes sense, reminds me of my old friend.
nice meme
i hope you're still bumping the backstreet boys
you make sense too

holy shit, a HMHB fan. they have only got better as time has gone on though, their last few albums have been fantastic.

I'm 16 right now and I've followed that exact some progression so far... what.

Sup Forumscore is good but government plates is best Death Grips album

MODS

nice, good progression man
you evolved into a mutant my man
wtf dude you were listening to boredoms at 11-14..
I can see exactly the point in which you started browsig mu

...

I can relate to this inmensily

Enjoy your ban

...

Good taste.

I don't know 80-90% of these...

Love that Mobb Deep album.

Nice variation.

Pls be troll.

>Pls be troll.
Why ? What about my post indicates that I might be a troll ?

>I can see exactly the point in which you started browsig mu

Heh, you'd think so. I've only been here for like six months.

The fact you write your b's as 6's for a start.

Yeah, right

pretty much

>Look at me I listened to Post Rock when I was 10

Gtfo tryhard faggots you listened to SOAD and mcr quit fooling yourself

lmfao he's writing with a fucking mouse what do you expect

My taste was the same until 20 when I decided I'd browse Sup Forums

It makes more sense when I'm writing on paper but I'm obviously not an expert as mousewriting

Only honest post here!

A lot of the stuff I listened to I previously didn't like, I think it's more getting bored and finally moving on than "progressing."

...

These threads are bull. Who can honestly say they were into music between the ages of fucking 6 and 10.

>BTMI!
>Gorillaz
You my nigga

I would hang with you. You seem pretty cool and got decent punk taste

...

None of these charts are showing any real progression. Which is pretty fucking sad over the course of 5+ years

I listened to some weird fucking music when I was 14. Post-rock, noise rock, you're living all over me was my favorite album, second to SAF

maybe I was just patrician

...

Mods, please band this kid for liking a Foxygen album.

>i started visiting Sup Forums when i was 15: the chart

fourchan is 4 kidz

I love that Hudson Mohawke album, shame his newer stuff is mainstream as fuck and just generally shit.

yea its still one of my favorites of all time
i like his rap beats but lantern hurt my ears :^(

>being older than 25

Yeah it's awful.

What are your favourite tracks from Butter?

>GOATtooth
>Rising 5
>Just Decided
>Joy Fantastic

The EP Cans is worth checking out too. It has rapping over his songs (some from Butter) and is pretty good although the song about smoking weed is pretty cringy.

gluetooth and 3.30 are the best imo. and that climax on trykk ,,,,,,, wowie

i have not even heard of the other thing you're talking about so i will check it out right now

wow youve been a tasteless idiot your whole life

wait a minute what is this
this is just some random guy
wait is this you? are u cans

I'm not Cans but all the music he raps over on that EP is made by Hudson Mohawke.

wew

Not a fan of foxygen.
