well the 8/10 doesn't hurt.
i started late too, i was a big loser in high school, but as soon as i could i left my hometown, got rid of all my old clothes and worked on my self esteem. i developed interests in music and whatever and after a few years i was a half-way decent human being.
i learned to be outgoing by forcing myself to do it and drinking to get over the nerves. i can't smoke weed, it makes me my pathetic original shy self. fake it til you make it man. i project confidence and talk like i know what the fuck. i pretend i'm detached, people tend to like that.
i just hated who i was, i was self-pitying and arrogant. i lost my virginity at 19 and then went nuts, just trying to make up for lost time.
to be honest i don't think it's been a good model of life, just like racing to sleep with whoever is up for it. i'm looking forwards to learning how to settle down.
