Why does KDE have such a big fucking clock font by default?

This changes in 5.12

>dock
>clock
coincidence?

Cause their users are too blind to see that their DE is buggy as shit. So they need to make the clock huge so their users can actually read it.

...

By the way, the clock is just another taskbar widget. Remove it, and replace it with "simple date and time"

So you can make the dock smaller and still read the time.

dont pretend you dont like big fonting clocks

That's how it looks in 5.12.

wtf I hate KDE now!!

Make it so the date's underneath the time and it becomes the perfect size.

It's easier to see.

Windows 7 doesn't have this problem.

Still too big.

Because KDE is trash
first time I've seen a non-fugly KDE desktop.
>that extra space
>that lack of security and soon-to-be obsolescence

Because KDE is fucking terrible.

Developers with ADHD demanded a big clock.

Because the people doing the default settings have no commercial design experience. KDE can look pretty, but the default look is so disgusting and you'd need to fiddle with the settings for days before it could look bearable.

Still looks like shit. This user got the clock right . The widget shouldn't be the default option.

So you can fucking see that it is 3 in the morning and that you need to stop chocking the monkey onto made up cartoon pre teens and start looking up for gay male prosotute jobs becouse fixing some niggers stuff on github arent going to pay for your almost dead dogs sweater

Personal tought

Because KDE users like big clocks.

Used to be you could right click on it and select font style and size. Haven't KDE for a while tho.

>Make it so the date's underneath the time and it becomes the perfect size.
yeah that's the only workaround and still, you have to use a rather large (high) panel.
below 30 pixels or so the date and time are displayed on the same line and the issue reappears.

it's shit like these (thumbnails in fils pickers, clock size in KDE) which persist for years, that make you realize how autistic some linux dev teams are.

this noob never heard of overclocking

Because KDE devs have no sense of UX consistency and their tacky DE is an amateurish child's idea of flat design.

Why wouldn't you want the clock to use all the space it can? Padding is wasted space.

So you slide your panel to be thiner by few clicks, and see the beauty of small fonts on running applications...

Also your font is not just big, but fcuking ugly.

Because we are having big time, and you don't.

In b4... There are guys who know what a command is, window is...

But you faggots never realize terminal if you pay 70 to just stick to old idea.

>single click opens folder
kde devs are retarded niggers

takes a whopping 3 seconds to change

IN CASE YOU DON'T SEE WHAT'S THE TIME

you accidentallly an extra letter there

Yup, it should say DE, not KDE.

As in: It's no longer true

>There is also an important change of policy: 5.12 is the last release which sees feature development in KWin on X11. With 5.13 onwards, only new features relevant to Wayland are going to be added.
That took a while, but is nice to see. Too bad I switched from KDE to i3wm already.

/comfy/
Also, how did you get the menu bar in the top bar?
