-so slick

Because KDE is a fucking masterpiece.

>Favourites
>Wastebin
What kind of shit is this?

I'm going to enter that sexual female lizard

What's wrong with favourites?

Is there porn of that reptile?

it's set to a britbong locale

>britbongs call trashcans "wastebins"
what the fuck

>not using Qupzilla

As someone that has pretty much used XFCE exclusively, is KDE really much better?

Well why do you use Xfce? If it's for the low amount of RAM usage, KDE has that covered now. if it's the low amount of packages, stick with Xfce unless you're using Arch or something.

It's got Qt which is nice but other than that it doesn't really have anything more useful than, say, XFCE

KDE has thumbnails in the filepicker

Whoops I thought you said you used KDE exclusively
Then no KDE isn't much better. If you want something lightweight but still want Qt check out lxqt

Does lxqt have thumbnails in the file picker? I haven't used it myself but I assume since it doesn't use GTK it would

i don't know what xfce is or does but package count is literally irrelevant

It doesn't, at least on Debian stable. I'll upgrade to sid on this VM and see if that changes anything.

Oh, and this (on stable) but I wouldn't consider it proper thumbnail support

>into the wastebin it goes

thumnail support is still kdialog i belive
they are deprecating kdialog in favor of putting it into Qt, then there should be thumnails in lxqt

So I guess it just has the GTK file picker then

Almost 14 fucking years

There a fuckton more of the male version, but yes.
e621 is your friend.

Actually nevermind, you have to run a natively Qt browser to get a filepicker with thumbnails, which is strange because Chromium didn't fail me on KDE

why not wastecans or trashbins

does that work on xfce too with a qt browser?

Nope

The package count meme is straight ignorance.

maybe if you have kdialog and / or dolphin

dat's gtk not qt altho qt by itself also does not have any thumbnails at all (yes even those microscopic gtk ones)

Scroll down

yes?

to have a prettier theme
cat .gtkrc-2.0
gtk-theme-name="Arc"
gtk-icon-theme-name="breeze"

I know those exist, I'm just playing around in a VM with almost zero configuration

>pcmanfm file picker
How did I never heard about this?

yes

i think it's using the one from kde
i'm on debian stable here

the only DE you can get work done without doing ricing or dealing with lack of features

I enjoy both KDE and Gnome.

Which desktops can do that thing where a maximized window's title bar merges with the top panel?

I enjoy Mugi, desu.

>"Gnome is bloated" HUR DURRR :^)

THE STATE OF PLASMA BRAINLETS!!!

>gnome tried to be like osx
>restricted UI, have to spend thousands of hours to install extensions and most of them fails and people hate them

>kde tries to be like windows
>just works, can be tweaked in 5 minutes according to personal preference, people love it

Windows is working man's OS, come home to Windows anons

But Linux with KDE is better.

Looks like Windows

until you have to run programs like office suit and photoshop.

Which I don't.

then all is well. Enjoy your linux experience. :)

Katie a Qt.

So KDE and LXQt are the only DEs you need. Mozilla needs to start supporting desktop native file pickers.

>muh file and package count
And still plasma uses half of the resources that gnome does while having way more functionality.

When I lived there, everyone just refered to it as "the rubbish"; never heard the word "wastebin" in two years iirc.

When will the KDE team finally realise the one thing KDE is missing is Konkibuddy?

m8, I call it a Rubbish Bin.

Not since KDE 3.0

Install TDE, sorted.

Open your file browser and drag and drop the reaction image you want on the button that launches the file picker menu

I can't even do that since the XFCE file manager (Thunar) doesn't have a search function because I have all my reaction images tagged in the filename, so I have to use another program with thumbnails (Catfish) to search, but that program doesn't support dragging and dropping, so I have to either open the file picker menu and copy the location from Catfish, then paste it in the file picker, or copy it then paste in Thunar, and THEN drag it from Thunar onto the button.
