How far has this beautiful piece of software come
Cemu general
Stolen dev kit.
Hope they die soon.
Fuck you.
I love this emulator. The amount of butthurt it caused is a never ending tidal wave
With the kind of money they got I expect atleast 6 full time developers and yet they still have 25% games not working at all.
It tells you a lot about their skills, especially giving how common and simple the architecture of the console is.
Take a look at rpcs3 and see real developers at work doing amazing things with a unusual architecture.
this
There's no nintendo code that helps emulating the WiiU on a x86 CPU directly.
It could be used to understand APIs and shit, but the final product don't have ANY nintendo code.
It's from dolphin they stole stuff from.
>closed source
>simple architecture
>modern GPU
Pick one.
Any radeon that supports pixel shaders is more complex than three sega saturns glued back to back.
Which is exactly why the Cemu authors decided to skip emulating it completely, and are instead using some disgusting HLE solution, just like the N64 emulators.
When citra get any improvement?
Use the latest canary/nightly build, my dude.
Also, this.
Are you retarded by any chance?
Since Citra devs are retarded and they are going for Switch emulation with Yuzu, never.
It took years before Dolphin was able to achieve 100% title boot. It's actually pretty hard, and given that the Wii U is multicore, it complicates matters even further. The GPU is also completely different than the previous gen. The HLE implementation isn't that disgusting IMO, it's faster than LLE, and it works *now*.
emulators are cool
>mfw
Yeah I gotta give them credit for even having it working at all, but to be honest I'm not interested in this project any more as they're a money grab. Nothing wrong with accepting donations but I'm not a fan of the "lean and mean opaque two man team" even if it might have some efficiency and sanity benefits. Just open source it. BTW I'm not butthurt, this is constructive criticism and I can live perfectly happily without their software since a second hand Wii U is so much better to play soy gayms with anyway.
I love this emulator. The amount of butthurt it caused is a never ending tidal wave
Even without emulators, this guy could easily faked the records.
Who cares? Where is the Switch emulator?
Wii U's can be softmodded and cost around 50€.
Kek I paid 250€ last week (with 5 games). No gamestop (and similar stores) stock of any kind, no new (old) stock at any typical vendor, and the two only local second hand online sellers were these stupid big packs with tons of games and stuff and inflated prices. Should've done this a year ago but I'm still satisfied with my 3 generation compatible soy gaming system with CFW, it's a great addition to my x230 and keeps the minor escapism well separated from productivity and creativity.
i've yet to see one with that price
Why us amd users have to suffer with the garbage OpenCL drivers? BOTW runs at 5fps.
Emulation is illegal
>Implying that yuzu will get even close before the end of the switch's life
afaik they bought the dev kit, so fuck you
Dumping roms, playing roms you downloaded over the internet? yes.
Writing emulators? nope.
Emulators (when well done) are generally a double edged sword, because for a side, you get piracy, but for the other the emulator itself becomes an invaluable development tool.
The best case where this happened was with the GBA emulation.
Thing went from "pirate box" to "complete development kit" in 10 picoseconds, with 2 or 3 paid emulators made specifically for game development.
>too early, abandon the emulator that may the hurt the sales
>... of a console that has been selling like crazy non-stop every since the launch day
>and shows no tips of slowing down and stopping to sell
I bet theses are the same people thought Wii U failed because CEMU came out.
