currently use distrokid, but haven't heard of this option until now. currently paying $20 a year for getting my music onto retailers like spotify, itunes, tidal, etc.. is it any better?

it's free, but I don't think they are recommendable. the support contact is utterly slow. they once forgot to upload my album to Spotify and I had to remind them a month later
Dude I listen to so many bandcamps that I forgot I had already listened through your album a few times when I said I would listen to the rest yesterday haha. I still love that noisy intro. Great little album. Is that an Earthquaker Organizer in the beginning of the second song?
biggest of loves to this dude
Also yeah, they're slow and the website is kind of shit. But they always get the job done for me, for free as well.
thank you lad, likewise because i still think a lot of people will dig this
at least i have another option now. $20 isn't so bad to get it on all major platforms but in case i ever change my mind it's nice to know this
kek, no unfortunately it's just an organ chord that was longstretched using audacity. but hell yeah, now i know what pedal to get if i'm going to recreate it live.
WHAT'S GOOD I'M BACK
Got a hot new demo track for the new album I'm working on. Fucking with drum recording so might sound a little off but I'll fix it ;)

Name of new project is "The Joy Void"
Hope u like
did you get your name from the Tera Melos song? I really hope you take influence from them because i'd be hooked if you did
I like this a lot. I can't remember if I've listened to your stuff before but I definitely will be. I take it you're a Tera Melos fan? Lol
No, music on Discogs.

>idm, umm... music?
Yes!
But no sadly I'm not the best drummer, so I couldn't write songs with lots of time signature changes and stuff like that. We were a math rock band before we broke up and I took over the project. We had a really awesome drummer. He plays in a band called The Caprahircus now and they're mathy.
you know, Tera Melos was one of the few bands I grew up with since 8th grade so i kind of attribute my love for artists changing style to them since Patagonian Rats was unlike anything they had done before.
the fact that they only retained a fraction of the math influence and still made songs that were uniquely their own really spoke volumes to me on the capabilities of one band. i wish i was better percussionist too but oh well, people seem to dig your music just fine. will check out soon.
>indie rock, psych pop
Fucking love everything tera melos has done been listening to them ever since I got an internet connection.

sounds really interesting, great atmosphere, im not in mood just right now, but will check this later for sure. the only thing that bothers me is this little noise in background, probably from recording acoustic instruments, am i right?
well, it really does sound like something betwwen teen suicide and hanl/corey. i really like this lo-fi retro synths and drums.
here
no, I added field ambience manually in the background of some tracks

after listening to Kristin's Driftin' , Joseph's Song, and now qwertyu, i definitely am digging the vibe you've got going on with Joseph's Song the most. Reminds me of a blend of We Are Trees with jangle pop in a way. Wouldn't mind a full album of this. Not too big of a fan of qwertyu since i feel it doesn't build up to anything worthwhile but without a doubt you've been getting better.
thanks a lot man

Fantastic stuff. Very catchy and sweet. The recording style makes it feel comfy and endearing like a warm hug from a close friend. I feel like Luma could be in the soundtrack to a wes anderson movie
I make beats and am saving up to get a drum machine so i can do my passion even better!
currently looking for a rapper or a group or a label to join into to promote my music and to collab!
any and all feedback is appreciated and i will do my best to leave some throughout the whole thread!

I love the album artwork! It's kinda clunky I listened to that song with kitty and it's okay but there's something off about it. Idk I like Malibu
Don't use that for your album cover, that being said these beat are really solid I think you should saw more towards stuff like your track GOD
It's alright but it's really boring I'm not the biggest fan of the EQ either but it's a nice start
You should re-EQ the vocals they get burried in the mix this also the rapping sounds super cheesy and amateur, but everyone has to start somewhere
This does sound like Ugly Mane this is really good! Too bad that album cover is fucking awful
I would say bring the vocals a little higher in the mix but other than that this is really really amazing keep it up I enjoy this a lot
This is really good I think it would work well with some Modest Mouse style vocals I encourage you to do so!
This is really daunting that being said I think you should try breaking up the tracks. It's not bad it's just not something that's super accessible
This is really good I recommended everyone listen to this
THis is from Sorbeto i feel ya
I kinda made the point its weird and whacky (thats not an excuse i legit want it something like that)
