Fonts

Hi there. I just installed ubuntu on my decade old >thinkpad
but I need to configure and customize it, so please share cool fonts that you recommend.
Thanks!

Roboto looks best as a system font in my opinion.

I will never not shill Century Schoolbook Mono, especially for code/terminals.

If you see little boxes with numbers/letters in them, googel utf u+{numbers}, click the result from fileformat.info and see "fonts that support this". Or just install symbola font.

I could be wrong but isn't DejaVu the font family with widest Unicode glyph support?

04b03 is pretty good.

What the fuck are you doing using Roboto as a terminal font.

IBM Plex. I enjoy it thoroughly

Also, ignore that it says Noto Sans Regular. It's fucking not.

Related, but how do you fix font rendering with most distros? I used to use infinality but apparently that's unecessary.
>pic rel.

My rendering is fine.

Of course its going to look like shit in a terminal. ANY dynamically spaced font is going to looks like shit in a terminal compared to regular UI.
