Thom's voice is mixed so loud and his performances are so self-indulgent they almost overpower the stronger, more immersive instrumental and production work that seems to sit too far in the background. The vocal lines are drawn ought, oft sustained too long and repetitive. It's almost like Thom is just feeling himself in the shower. It's like Kenny G on the clarinet.
