Are there any advantages to havving your PC on your desk?

less dust

You won't accidentally kick it when turning around in your chair

If you have a window on your case you can look at your PC easier.

I question this becasue dust always rises up, I see this when a ray of sunlight shines through my window in the morning.

You can hear your CPU usage.

you can enjoy the fan and hdd noise better
you don't have to look at all that empty desk space
you can show off your guts much easier in battlestation threads

:( I have a glass desk so I don't do this. Not that its a weak glass desk, but it freaks me out.

NO!

If you have pets you'll get less hair in it. Possibly other dirt and less dust too. Being on a solid surface instead of carpet will give it better ventilation. Easier to reach. Less chance of kicking it.

Can confirm

This. Had to clean dust filters every 4-5 days, now it's about once per month, and the case inside looks like new all the time.

Easy access for cleaning/adding shit to it.
If you have diagnostic displays, they're right there.
depending on parts, can be pretty.
Cleaner.
Don't have to crouch down to plug something into the back.

Etc.

you don't have to strain your back to put floppies in under the desk

user it looks like your case is falling apart.

fpbp

>wallpaper not scaled

you can hear the fans and hdds better

i keep my case on the flood and do not have any dust filters. theres almost no dust in the case and its always on too.

he keeps kicking it because it is under his desk instead of on top of it

that's nothing

my pentium-D box's motherboard is held in with a single screw and has blown-off capacitors

Does not get kicked.

I kick it intentionally

>Kicking things what costs your lung.

believable kek

?

>If it's on the desk, it does not get boxed

What kind of mental state are you people in

If it's on the desk, it does not get accidentally kicked.

Really. English does not have enough liberty for sentence without subject.

does it even work with high cpu load? i had a mobo with fucked caps and it would reboot every time i did somethining that uses much cpu.

Don't worry, your sentence was fine. That guy's just a retard.

Only if it's a mac or some other all-in-one like the Surface Studio or one of those HP all-in-ones. Everything else creates too much clutter.

It's easier to put a CD in

if its on the desk, you cant put your feet on it

check-mate atheists

yeah it still works even running F@H for a week straight. i found it on the side of a road. it has a weird vga timing too that made one of my CRT monitors start to smoke and nearly explode.

definitely glad i didn't give it to anyone

Vacuum your air

Which case?

Regrettably I have a cat-shaped rat creature living with me and its hairs would always end up in the filters when I had the case on the ground.

My two year old can't press the power button while I'm using it...

better wifi signal less dust and dirt
