wtf is this babby battery?
>2018
>removeable battery
my W520 had a lot bigger battery compartment, and is also removable. why the fuck did they shrink the battery compartment, meaning you can't go for big batteries.
no, look at the original key caps on thinkpad laptops
i liked the old keyboard better, but honestly the chiclet keyboard is 'decent' enough
no apologist tho, it still sux
>P Series
>any year
>not a removable battery
This is why we can't have nice things. I can charge my X200 and have 7 other batteries charging in the dock for dozens of hours of uptime.
why the fuck did almost every manufacturer decide it was good idea to equip 15" laptops with numpads, moving the trackpad/nipple mouse off-center?
At this point soldered-on ram and ssd causes me less daily annoyances than a notebook with everything related to input moved to left side.
Chiclet keys are legitimately better, the only problem is along with chiclet came the switch to 6-row layout.
>not liking numpads
I don't even know what to say to you, you must never do math or something.
The P51 is amazing. It's one of the few purchases in my life that I've not immediately regretted.
naw dog, I only use my laptop for browsing Sup Forums and /r/wallstreetbets, and only very few hihg-end machines with centered keyboards can clear this high threshold.
Not that user but as a guy that uses a lot of old laptops:
Fuck no
New thinkpad chiclet is literally better than the old one. I used to own a x220 and moved to t450
>the keyboard no longer flexes like crazy
>youtube.com
>I can actually find the buttons under my fingers without looking
>deeper button press
>backlit actually makes me see the buttons
The only thing that I really miss were the dedicated buttons (volume, brightness, bios ...). Hope they return them
>>the keyboard no longer flexes like crazy
my T420 doesn't have this problem
though I did have to bend the keyboard slightly to fix this, that's poor QC on lenovo's part but it's easily fixable
>>I can actually find the buttons under my fingers without looking
so can I
>>deeper button press
??? on a chiclet? As someone who regularly uses X240 for work I have hard time believing that, unless they changed something on T450
>>backlit actually makes me see the buttons
that's what thinklight is for you blistering idiot, and unlike backlit keyboard it lights up not only the keys but everything around the laptop so it doubles as a makeshift night light.
As someone who owns a t420 and an x1 carbon, the old keyboards suck. They're mushy as shit. The chiclets are way better.
Yeah, Lenovo laptops have shit tier keyboards. That's why I use my external keyboard whenever I can.
That's what you want to think.
All they did was remove 5 keys taking up premium real estate that no one ever fucking uses and put migrated commonly used keys to those positions.
>numpads
Superior in every way, kiddo
Hey fagget, he's talking about key caps
I actually miss the right click button in certain, very specific typo scenarios.
Inb4 someone brings up the Rossman video on ThinkPad keyboards
that's only from --00 and later
T60 keyboard was god, not mushy at all
>make esc small
>no dividers between function keys
>make delete small
Cancer
much worse than chiclet keyboards though is making the touchpad bigger.
I disabled mine since it kept getting in the way
>what the fuck have they done to the keyboard?
Have you been asleep since 2012 or something? Are you retarded?
CHINKED

Yeah, i fucking hate the new keyboards, i'd never buy one of those fucking things. why are the keys so far apart?
That's not the point he was making you tards. You can like numpads but dislike the shifting leftwards of everything in order to fit them in
My E470 has dividers for the function keys
they should be an optional usb attachment. the new layout is awful
Despite the fact that chiclet keyboards suck, keyboards on modern thinkpads are still one of the best keyboards on the market. I mean, then have some shape and travel distance, and they are much better than Dell or especially Mac keyboards.
I have seen worse.
Apple scissor switches are objectively superior to any other keyboard
> Leinovo
?
Not sure if you are brain dead or fagget baiter
I actually sometimes use next/previous page (or whatever these keys next to the arrows are). They are bound to next/previous buffer in Emacs by default.

Stop sitting at computer, you need to buy glasses.
Damn didn't know companies were that desperate in copying Apple. My statement still stands though.
I use the right click button everyday when I fix typos, I would not be surprised if I used it more then obscure letters like q.
>Le1novo
?
Do you mean those butterfly switches that get fucked by single pieces of dust?

Kys leddit fag shove that rotting shitpad up your ass and waddle out of this board
I still have my original aluminum keyboard (the first one) and I have spilled countless stuff on it and washed it I under running water and it STILL works.
>not using your computer in a clean white room like jony ive would

They are the best in industry currently

My gf unironically likes this layout and the low-travel keys it has, which is good since I bought it for her I guess.
