Foobar is out on Android now, it's free

What is it?

Thanks for the heads up, just downloaded
Music player, also nice digits

Shit, UI-stability-functionality-wise. As expected of kickstarter. An embarrassment compared to the desktop version

my computer literally comes with iTunes, convince it's worth taking the effort to switch

>But but muh Steve Jerbs

Use what you're happiest with fAm

it's fucking hideous
how hard is it to design a good looking app jesus

It's nice because it has no UI whatsoever unless you add plugins, so it's incredibly easy to navigate and use. Players like iTunes are a clusterfuck and have too many useless features, only worth having it installed if you have an iPod.

But this topic is about the mobile version, no opinion on that personally.

>foobar on the desktop is not ugly as sin

It's the best Windows player, funcion-wise, but I'll be damned if I use it to display my library. I keep it around for converting stuff and use iTunes for the actual choosing-an-album-and-listening.

for android, onkyo hf player is the best one. supports flac.

>Players like iTunes are a clusterfuck and have too many useless features

What? Seems pretty simple to me.

Looks just fine default on the desktop imo

iCloud is worthless and I dont want want the extra programs that are installed with iTunes :/

-iTunes

It's highly customizable. You can pretty much make it look however you want. Although if you're on a mac, iTunes runs fine. On Windows it's part of the design to run slowly.

Might check that out. btw most players on android support flac.

Customize it. I use the catrox theme (pic related, although I changed mine up a bit from this) and it looks really nice.

I'm not interested in tracking down album art for all of my music, so I don't like a visual display. It's just not something I want to devote any time to. I know some people are more visual oriented or w/e. All I need is a player that shows the album name, song name and artist name and plays the song when I click "play" and anything more than that is way overkill. I guess a play counter is nice too.

iTunes is bloated and runs terribly, it isn't customizable, and it can't run flac or a bunch of other file types

poweramp is goat tho

>all this meme music

holy shit get some personal taste dude

This, alpha version at that

>tfw barely use foobar2000 because I've been soaked in spotify so much

I haven't heard some of my favorite tracks in years.

I don't use iCloud either and you don't need to install anything with iTunes other than the software updater. Getting iCloud shoved in my face every major update is annoying but rare.

Yeah, I understand. Just pointing out that iTunes isn't really a clusterfuck. Not for everyone, at least. Since I organize and pick my music album-by-album, iTunes ends up being the most eye-pleasing alternative, compared to standard Windows-flair foobar like and even the fancier skins like . Album view just feels better to me.

I use AIMP. Nice and basic, plays most anything.

I knew this would happen but I'd rather get meme'd on by a random user than use a fugly google search result for "itunes 12 album view" with missing album artwork and shit or a minuscule window

I just go through the files directly

>implying you can't have an album based foobar skin
Facets UI >>>>> columns UI

How does it look with facets?

why would I want to use this crap over the default music app?

I wish I had a screenshot on hand, but I'm on mobile. My layout filters by artists on the left then albums on the right with the queue below. Give it a try.

Thanks, bro.
