Hey Sup Forums the university I go to has started blocking VPN's and I'm now having difficulties updating some software because of torrent block also on the network. Is there a simple way to set up a proxy or VPN that can get around a block like this?
University blocking my VPN
Go to a better university
Fuck off with your bait
SAGE
>proxy
Not a vpn
Create an AWS instance. Cheapest one you can (I think the nano instances are free). Use it as a SOCKS5 proxy over SSH.
It says right there: contact the ITS Office
What country?
Get a cheap VPS from OVH or whatever and use that
>not using port 443 or 22 proxies
That's your fault for going to a non free school
buy a vps and put wireguard on it
user, it's a fucking webproxy filter.
Go get openVPN and learn to use it
Mine just doesn’t let you connect if you use a VPN
Use your cell phone then.
ding ding ding
Check your uni's IT department support page about what ports are blocked and unblocked on the unis firewall.
Then, get a cheap VPS and configure OpenVPN to run on the unblocked port.
There are plenty of vpns that run over 443, 53, or 80
Drop out of college and start a vpn company
Roll your own. Digitalocean.com
>firewall blocks domain
>use standard port for non-standard protocal
Retards galore.
A good VPN service often offers the option to obfuscate your packets. I had that issue before, but that option saved me. It does slow down your computer a little though.
