1280×720 monitor for $12 leafbucks
I never use it

In 2012 bought a AMD quadcore Desktop for $20 bucks

What the fuck kinda Goodwills are you guys going to? All we have is shitty clothes and old-ass furniture.

That's the correct way to use a 720p display.

Nothing good since the internet allowed for checking of an items worth.

i check em out every now and then for some rave attire, and see what they got in hardware, its usually shit. printers, and shit keyboards. broken dvd players

Couple of $15 LCD monitors and an old f type keyboard

30 dollar thinkpad x200

lies

Is there any actual incentive to give shit to Goodwill other than just to get it out of the house?

It's tax deductible. Someone might buy your old shit instead of buying new shit which is better for the environment.

I found a nice skirt and some dick sucking high heels

Not really, Goodwill is a For Profit company, anything of value is auctioned of for profit.. Shit that doesn't auction is then sold in stores on cheap is just left over crap. Salvation army, non profit, is better, everything received is sold in store.

While it wasnt a Goodwill i did Score a pair of Speakerlab 6WAs took them to an HiFi store for an Evaluation and was told they sound as good or slightly better than a pair of Vandersteen 1ci's and I paid 32.50 for the speakers and about 110 in restoration so far

t. lives in a poor person area

I buy portable cassette players and sell them on ebay for 10x

Do you take a hit on shipping?

I got a bluetooth keyboard which i'm using to type this with.

>Goodwill

Those arrow keys are pretty bad. Most of the rest of it looks good though

you can get store credit for donation and buy more stuff

>t. assmad europoor

Yea the layout of the arrow keys is a bit odd but it is manageable.

Hue Hue Hue Hue

Thinkpad x200 with dock from Goodwill - $50

IBM PS/2 Model 25 w/ Model M keyboard from Habitat ReStore - $5

Nice

My current laptop, a core i7 hp elitebook with fermi-based quadro graphics. One of the keys is melted, other than that it works well. $29.99

A bunch of other laptops, some core desktops, model m keyboard, and other odds and ends like a radeon 9800le, 500-1tb hard drive enclosures. I actually like buy old hard drives but I've yet to find any good home made porn.

I like to collect coffee mugs there.

Pisses me the fuck off that no thrift stores in my area resell donated computer equipment. Monitors and keyboards yes, but the actual computers are all sent for recycling, never resold.

Habitat ReStore is pretty decent in my area, I got an imac g3 from there for $35, with the original keyboard and mouse. It was pretty fun to tinker with, but I was never able to really get the power supply working reliably again.

This old crt I bought for 15 usd

This.

The goodwill in my city posts ads on craigslist all the time expecting Ebay prices for old junk.
