First Album - Sattelite - P.O.D.

BRUH / BRUH

...

>I'm pretty much the oldest person on Sup Forums
>My mom had Billy Idol's greatest hits on cassette. She'd play it all the time while driving us to school. I loved it.
>Badmotorfinger and Dirt are the two albums that defined grunge for me. Nirvana always was and always has been utter garbage from a bunch of talentless hacks
>King Diamond/Mercyful Fate is god-tier. You children cannot understand.

...

>first album: crazy frog
>current favorite album: yeezus

it was destiny

There is people on /tg/ who are in their 40s

I don't get why people are trying to put a stigma on it. (actually I do, it's because this is Sup Forums and we have to be edgy to everyone about everything)

You're not gonna just wake up on your birthday one day and say "oh I'm X years old now, Sup Forums was fun".

Is this bait because I laughed hard, although back in the day, "day and night" by kid cudi was a jam

/tg/ is a fucking excellent board because of it though, great range of people play table top.

This is sort of a short, focused list. It doesn't really show anything about our experiences or memories.

nice!

gorillaz really was a great jumping off point for musical taste

?? how the hell was since i left you your first album wow

Good taste

Yeah. I don't mind being 34 on Sup Forums, but I feel old with all these people who were born the year I started high school (1996)

I only really go to Sup Forums and /x/

mu mostly for the metal threads, to check out new stuff and /x/ mostly for weird wikipedia articles and that rare quality creepy pasta.

I still have much to learn

...

Once you spent 10 years posting here, you realize that even if there is better places out there you already know how Sup Forums works.

It's like being married.

That Jerry Garcia children's album is fuckin top notch

finally some fkn love for funeral
crown of love is one of the best songs ive heard

How the fuck do people remember their first album?

your earliest memory of holding a record or cd.

Were you buying music when you were a baby?

...

There was always music around in my house and i've owned cassettes and CDs for as long as I remember.

does listening to previews in Barns & noble or you dad playing it in the car count?

Eh, chill it downeronni, frienderonni!

Your parents certainly were. There were always radio songs too or music on TV. I remember liking music as young as about 3-4.

I went with the first one I ever bought on my own, it had the most importance as a "first album" experience anyway.

TO THE GUH DOLLD EYS

I don't know man.

Are you Benjamin Button?

PLEBS DETECTED PLEBS DETECTED

This actually makes complete sense

I started pretty late, so 'childhood' would be between 14 or 15 years old

>birth year
1989
>first album
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
>favorite album of childhood
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
>favorite album of high school
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
>current favorite album
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock

what

holy shit user our first two albums are the same

I don't think I can ever enjoy this board ever again knowing how many of you are younger than me. I hope that at least the youngfags are shitposters and people I've had semi-real conversations with.

...

Hi Taylor.

This board has always been used primarily by people around high school age.

...

from patrician to pleb, sad desu

You're 9 years older than my parents.

i discovered death grips back in my senior year but i never really had interest in them at first, so yeah, didnt start listening to them until after high school

>96
>current favs swans
ayyyy

> I really like trash though.
Then Death Grips should be right up your alley

kek it's not like I stopped liking them

...

...

same, eventually you grow out of them tbqh

>haken & the dear hunter
My fucking nigger

I suspected that was the case but I didn't *know* it before now. I guess I'll google some DFW pics and go back to /lit/.

I don't not like them anymore they're just not as new and interesting as they were in highschool.

Are you me? did you post yours?

nice

...

proud af of my great childhood taste

Hi Jordan.

>People putting more than one album for current favorite

1955
>gets trip 5s
>I guess old people don't have shit to do either

from entry level rolling stones core, to entry level mu core

why did you downgrade from black star to king crimson and meme grips?

based grandpa!!!
what's good senpai

I still listen to hip hop man, those other albums are just my favorite. Do you think black on both sides is better than black star?

1997
First Album: Alanis Morisette - Jagged Little Pill
Favorite Album of Childhood: Gorillaz - Demon Days
Favorite Album of Highschool: Pikul - Silversun Pickups
Current Favorite Album: Loveless - My Bloody Valentine, Psychocandy - The Jesus and Mary Chain, Amnesiac - Radiohead, Pink Flag - Wire, The Pains of being Pure at Heart - s/t, Transilvanian Hunger - Darkthrone

yeah maybe black star has slightly higher highs but i'd say Black On Both Sides is superior

So basically everyone on Sup Forums is either a senior in high school or a freshman in college. Kill me.

Mos Def is great, think his last we're getting this year will be good?
Also my favorite hip hop albums now are Enter The Wu Tang, Madvillainy, and The Constructus Corporation, am I a meme?

...

being a "meme" is for retard Sup Forumstants, the first two are objective classics and TCC is dope

i dont have high expectations that mos album will drop at all desu

>kids younger than me have better taste in music
kek.
At least I'm not a virgin tho

>better taste in music
don't believe the hype s e n p a i

so no I'm not a Sup Forumscore retard, thank you for validation. I'm not either but I wanna know why he's been off the deep end lately

>birth year
1992
>first album
John Lee Hooker bootleg dad gave me for my birthday
>Favorite album of childhood
Kino - Greatest Hits and Sgt. Pepper.
>Favorite Album of High School
Kid A probably. All Eyez On Me was pretty important too.
>Current Favorite Album
Fushitsusha - Secret Black Box

I'm actually not as ashamed as most people.
