Fuck it. I'm switching to iOS.

Everybody call me a soyboy right now please.

Torn between the S8+, LG V30, and Pixel XL 2

what's an unlocked phones I can get with the following for the budget listed

able to text and good storage, I just use a phone for shitposting, texting and as an mp3.

How long should I expect to have to wait for the S8 to drop in price if they're announcing the S9 on Sunday?

i want to fug kirino

I'm not touching my phone's screen.
So why does it scroll or return to Home?

Pixel

What should I buy if I literally only care about battery life and have 200 bucks? I can stretch to like 250-300 if it's worth it

This is a lowblow OP, I despise you phoneposters so much but seeing her just melts my heartstrings

>Animeposters thinking they're above phoneposters

Nope, now go tell your parents the news.

samshit a5

Please don't talk about my wife like that.

a used Moto Z Play. Hell I'd sell you my new one if I could find a decent iPhone X under $1000 local

fugggg

im going to nakadashi kirino's deepest parts while she ikus and you can't stop me

*literally melts into a puddle*

I hope you didn't buy the iMeme X

I just went from Galaxy S6 to Xperia XZ1 Compact and I hate the blinding charging LED and the persistent do not disturb notification. Does Lineage allow you to turn that shit off?

really do not get the appeal of phablets

More Kirino no

Cute!

That glimmer!

Pixel 2 XL is the best out the three, but do keep in mind the lack of the headphone jack and expandable storage. S8+ is $200 cheaper than the Pixel 2 XL and is expected to get even cheaper when the S9/S9+ comes out. There's no reason to get the V30 over the other two unless you really want a wide-angle camera and quad-DAC, everything else about the phone is just average.

...

and 5T btfo all of that

I really want the nexus 5x for that camera that can compete with phones double its price. but theres so many reported problems with it. Does anyone have it that can chime in on their experience

What's the current equivalent of a Moto G?

Are there any sites that maintain decent rankings of phones?
Want to know what the best $350-400 phones are.

Into the trash.

all glass bezel-less phones are a terrible future.

bro they still make the Moto G

I've got a 6S and want a bigger screen. I'm not really bothered about more RAM or anything. Should I sidegrade to a 6S+?

Oh, good. I just assumed they didn't for some reason.

yeah they're bringing the Moto G 6th generation next month. currently the G5 Plus is the best midrange for about $220

I noticed there's now about 6 different versions. The plain old g4 is on sale for $130 so I'm thinking of just getting that. The only reason I'm even thinking of upgrading from my second gen Moto G is because the mic started malfunctioning.

do you guys leave location or bluetooth on when you're not using them?

keep talking user, i want one bad but my s4 is still fine

Of course, I want that my battery last longer

I don't use bluetooth so no

How is the moto g 2nd gen? It was Sup Forums approved when it came out but the specs seem very dated

Mi Mix 2 is a cheaper, better phone.

It's also had Oreo for like 2 months

She'd underaged!
and you're not Japanese!

Underage is a meme created by (((them))).

It's all that I need, really. I use my phonealmost entirely for web browsing, maps, texting and music. It can be stuttery sometimes but it's good enough for those things.

Also, the camera is utter garbage but I usually carry around a dedicated camera anyways.

what service do you guys use to sync notes between your desktop and mobile devices

Kind of underwhelmed with my moto g5s. I want something nicer. I was thinking of a mi6, would it be a signifficant upgrade?
I want like a faster cpu, more internal storage, and a 1440p display.

Dead thread.
Would an lcd2 be a nice upgrade from the he500 or would it just be a side grade? I need moar fidelity.
No, I'm not interested in another hd600 or stax.

Implying I'm not from the future.

wrong thread LMFAOOOOOOOO

What's the point of Android/Google Pay? You don't have to carry around a bunch of cards? That's it? Isn't that kind of unsafe putting all your shit on your already valuable phone?

The main point I've seen is for using credit cards on vending machines when I don't have any cash on me.

I trust passing a token via NFC more than running a magstripe through a slot to which anyone can hook a skimmer.

Anyone know a good phone app that can be used in the lock screen or at least doesn't show your contact list?

I want one that I can just let someone make a quick call without looking at all my contacts.

LOOOOOOL

Nope.
8 Plus. Same thing minus notch, plus battery life. Although Face ID seems a bit better than Touch ID at this point.

Is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 actually a good phone? I'm wanting to upgrade from my shitty 2nd gen Moto E, so I can actually type without it freezing every 5 seconds and not take nearly a full minute to open most apps. And be able to hold more than like 2 apps at a time.

The specs seem too good to be true for that price point. If they are true, then the phone must be fragile as fuck, right? I need something that can survive being owned by a retard since I drop my phone on concrete regularly. Of course, I'll get a good case.

Also considering an Xperia XA1. Looking for something

Google/Apple Pay isn't any less secure than just using a normal credit card desu

There's this weird bug in Android 7.0 that marks some files (mostly songs) as being 0kbs in size, so no player detects them. Anyone know how to fix this shit?

I've already tried factory resetting and formatting everything to no avail. And no, it's not my files, I've tried pretty much everything, even making new mp3 versions from different FLAC sources.

I'm really cost to just jump on the iPhone bandwagon. The only ones that even seem decent are the OnePlus 5T and Pixel XL 2

Is the OnePlus 5T good? Can I use it under TMobile?

With Windows Phone on it's way out I bought a Galaxy S4 for 50 bucks to replace my Lumia 635

I really liked Windows Phone desu and I kind of hate cell phones in general. So I'm not sure how I feel... 2 gigs of RAM and I can browse Sup Forums at Burger King I guess.

This is all a pain in the ass for the 2 or 3 phone calls I take a week for my photography web shit jobs.

>LG announces new K8 and K10 phones, with improved cameras and outdated software

hmm okaHOLY SHIT IS THAT A REMOVABLE BACK COVER I SEE?

the mediatek version is faster, i use the sd625 global version for almost a year now and have yet to experience severe slowdown. Has some issues on google play music but i use other players anyway. Ove dropped mine face first twice now and still ok, then again im using a nilkin tempered glass and casing.
Be wary of casings and tempered glass, they may not fit properly as there are 2 major variants if rn4 and requires different casing. Tempered glass avoid full coverage ones as they tend to be grainy and has matrix pattern. I find the nilkin one the best so far as the others are too leaky on the sides (curve screen)

This is my current phone
>gsmarena.com/vodafone_smart_first_7-8100.php
got it for $70 about 2 years ago. Don't pay attention to phones so didn't know what I was in for. Though it certainly was an upgrade from my BB curve. The biggest bitch is this phone is so goddamn slow now and switching between clover and opera mini to browse for porn is killing me as it has to reload half of the time. Don't even get me started with google chrome.
Anyways wanted to know my budget is $100-200 but I'm willing to push it if it really counts. Cause if its functional without mega lag I plan on keeping it for near a decade. (Also I wanna play duel links but I don't think 512ram is sufficient).

So what's a reasonable specs to expect minimal lag. Cause the lag i'm experiencing can by 30secs. I mean 5 sec is atleast reasonable if i'm cramming shit in.

Is 1,5ghz processor and 1gb ram sufficient? What's a decent budget phone that I might be able to get away with playing yu-gi-oh duel links?
Sorry for the long post

I'm trying to block ads on an old Huawei G7.
It's running lollipop and it's already rooted.
so using adaway, I change the hosts file and reboot, but I'm still getting ads.
the hosts file get written to data->hosts, and there are symlinks to it in both system->etc->host and in etc->hosts
data->hosts permissions are 644
the symliks' are both 777
all owned by root
by all accounts the file is written properly, so adaway is doing its job.
but I'm still getting ads.
if I ping one of the ad domains in the hosts file, it gets resolved to the actual address and not the localhost.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
any hints?

Anybody know a good tablet to get for my little sister? It doesn't need to be flagship tier or anything, I just wanna be able to install some fun kiddy games and emulator apps for he to use.

Swappa sells tablets, right?

which hosts list are you using?

the 3 provided by default.

I have a note 4 on lineage os nougat, its good as hell my negro. I use it rawdog because im a smart self-actualized alpha male who would never drop a phone

Nevermind. Found the solution. All I had to do was clearing the data from the "media storage" system app.

what is best budget phone with 802.11 a/ac (as well as.b/g/n) for $150

Would you trust this site?

What app do you use for podcasts (android)?
I don't mind playing them with google assistant but it doesn't tell me when new episodes have been released.
I don't use google play music because of battery drain (and because I don't like having to stream music)

Not sure right now, but traditionally if you want good internal specs for low budget, perhaps sacrificing things like camera/screen, look at chinkshit like xiaomi. The Redmi note 3 pro used to be the phone for what you want, but that was over a year ago.
Go to

AntennaPod
It just works

looks good, no ads is definitely a plus

I wish there could be such a thing as bookmarked podcasts, to add podcasts you want easy access to but don't want to listen to every episode of. Something to distinguish between podcasts you're subscribed to and ones you just check out occasionally (kind of like iTunes does)

What is a good phone to play emulators on? I have an iPhone and miss the availability and ease of emus on android.

$200-350, or less. Just something quick and comfy to play on.

which is better elephone s8 or ulefone power 3?

Convince me not to buy the HTC U11 Sup Forums

Reasons I'm considering it:
>Current generation flagship
>Reasonably priced
>Rootable (I won't buy a phone I can't install Adaway on)
>Sense is reasonably close to stock android

>XA2 review
Thank you user !

Don't bother with brands like this, you will never get updates

Xiaomi hardware is basically the same price and has a unified update system that'll keep updating the phone for 3-4yrs in security patches.

What's the average SOT of a note 4x if I install lineage on it.
LTE usage only.

>HTC
>reasonably priced
user, I...

which xiaomi should i get? the one I'm currently using is the xiaomi mi 2 and im looking to upgrade it. I also had a xiaomi mi 4 but i lost it.

>there are literally no good small phones with lineageOS support available
Is it sudoku time?

I get 10 hours on mine and that's with playing shitty 3D idol rhythm games.

no headphone jack

Cheaper than a S8 over here

That's kind of a deal breaker.

Any other suggestions then?

Nah m8 those are antenna lines

xperia xz premium, 1+ 5t, og pixel xl

Wait that's all LTE?

Which one?
LOS 15.1 w/ Gapps or LOS 14.1 with microG?

I'll have a look, thanks bruv

Really don't see the point of buying a really expensive phone desu. My Samsung on5 is pretty good for everything I use a phone to.

Can you guys explain this autism to me?

A lot of Sup Forums users are enthusiasts.

I often had my earphones yanked out, the jack is now a sensitive loose bitch, a slight pull can disconnect my earphones. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
Like mentioned, there are differences between the Note 4(mediatek) and the global/4x(snapdragon).
Global/4x has the IR blaster located on top right, mediatek will have it on top centre. iirc, the Note 4X Prime (64GB/4) running snapdragon actually has the same design as the mediatek version. I think there's also a difference of where the led notification light is located, global/4X on the left, mediatek/prime on the right.
I prefer to have at least 2GB ram, 3gb on chinkshit bloatware.
Purchased a phone from them once, no complaints, probably paid for tracking.

Because some people like nice things?

Anybody have experience with the LG v20? They're rather cheap right now.

Considering Redmi Note 5 Pro or Mi A1, anything else in that size and price range I should consider? (camera shouldnt be any lesser quality)
