I never really listened to The Beatles, have I been missing out?
Are they really that good?
Should I start listening to them and if yes, where should I start?

Sgt Pepper
Revolver
The White Album
Let It Be
Abbey Road

then u can decide if u wanna listen to the rest of their stuff

The 1 compilation. The Beatles was a singles band, listening to their albums is a waste of time. That's why they released so many "non single album".

Rubber soul
Revolver
Abbey Road
Sgt. Peppers
White album
Hard day's night
Help!
Beatles for sale
With the Beatles
Please Please me
Let it be

if you're into to pop rock and some psychedelic pop you'll probably like them

don't listen to his lies

I really like Tame Impala if that counts as psychedelic pop

You're probably past your prime for enjoying the Beatles, honestly. I feel like listening to them requires one to be in junior high school or something. But, I mean, you can try.

not true

If you want psychedellic pop, get MMR or Revolver.
If you want just really good pop rock, get Abbey Road.
If you want their most experimental album, get The White Album.
If you want to hear a Bob Dylan-influenced album, get Rubber Soul.
If you want to dive straight into what Beatlemania was all about, get A Hard Day's Night.

Sgt Pepper is totally skippable desu.

Revolver, White Album and Magical Mystery Tour are personal and Sup Forums favorites, however I recommend Rubber Soul to start with, it has a nice blend of psychedelic pop and folk rock.

Have you first read all of homerus? #starterutles

I feel like Sgt Pepper is pretty important, if just for Within You, Without You

sgt pepper isn't skippable at all, as a whole album it's absolutely mindblowing.

do you even vocal harmonies bro

If you like them you can get into the Beatles

>completely ignoring magical mystery tour

I hate Magical Mystery Tour because of Paul's songs

I started with Rubber Soul and I'm currently a few songs in. It's quite good so far, but I'm not blown away, I'll probably listen to the rest in the next few days.
Thanks for your replies.

Just skip paul's songs. trust me

The Beatles are so overhyped that you might not ever get blown away. Nothing could match their hype.

Which ones are his?

That's probably the reason it took me so long to listen to them. I was kind of afraid that they wouldn't be THAT good.

Don't listen to him, Paul has countless great songs.

I was just a bit curious.
I'll probably listen to everything now, I think the second half of Rubber Soul is great.

This all you need user

I feel Fine
in my life
Doctor Robert
Tomorrow never knows
I am the walrus
Strawberry Fields
Lucy In the sky
A day in the life
Come together
Dear Prudence
Happyness is a warm gun
I want you (she's so heavy)
Because
Dont let me down
Across the universe

You don't have to like them but it's a must to hear their discography chronologically at least once.

I would advise listening to Revolver next.
Might as well finish chronologically.

>where should I start?
Late records.
The Beatles were the One Direction of their time, but as they grew up the moved to more complex compositions and the band evolved with them. Unless you're a teenage girl in the 60' you'll be unable to experience the Beatlemania, but you can probably appreciate a fine record like Abbey Road.

When this meme is gonna die? I swear this guy never touched an instrument

This is easily top 5 most pleb posts I've ever seen.

>I swear this guy never touched an instrument
I do.

It's certainly not a meme. Their first songs were OD-tier

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

Well, work it on out, honey (Work it on out)
You know you look so good (Look so good)
You know you got me goin', now (Got me goin')
Just like I knew you would (Like I knew you would)

>criticising lyrics in music
never touched an instrument for sure

Its not just that but he is only criticising lyrics.

Twist and Shout was a cover tho

>The Beatles, have I been missing out?
No

>Are they really that good?
No

>Should I start listening to them and if yes, where should I start?
I would avoid them, but if you still want to, start with Revolver. It's their best, yet not necessarily my favorite (but it is).

It's a cover of La Bamba

Yes. Start with Rubber Soul.

just know that if you didnt listen to their music in the 60s as it was released you'll never be able to properly appreciate it

>Sgt Peppers is totally skippable desu.
I think I'm going to throw up.
